  1. Hi all, I have this old MRC pistol grip radio, currently on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...E:IT&ih=012 It is somewhat unique, because of the fact that the pistol grip itself, is connected to the battery box, via a cord, and external unit. You actually wear the battery box on a belt, as opposed to supporting the weight of the battery cells with your wrist. I have never tested it, but I believe it to never have been used. Scott
  2. Hello everybody, I listed one of my Super Champ projects on Ebay- http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...E:IT&ih=012 Please disregard the automated shipping calculator, as I did something wrong, and it is giving the wrong price for shipping. If you want to know what your actual shipping charges would be, go to USPS.com and use the postage calculator- the weight of the package is 7 pounds. Thanks. Scott, aka Misterhottrick
  3. Yeah, you got it Loaded.........not ashamed to say I have known the bloke for about 8 years now, and still look forward to chatting with him about a club we have been members of, or have at least paid attention to, for years. Actually Loaded, the discussion did come up about this poll, as Alex knows what an admirer of these cars I am, having been somebody who actually runs them, as blasphemous as that may seem (joke.) Was not really trying to gang up on you at all, was simply questioning a pretty bold statement, you had made. Anyways, did not really intend to offend, but my vote still stands sir!! Scott
  4. Yeah, definately an SRB. I used to run a couple of my Super Champs until their rubber peeled off the rim.......my friends and I always refererred to the ole Champ as an SRB. Honestly, we did not really care what the paper Did Not say. Loaded, I gotta be honest, when you were eluding to having the largest private collection of NIB Super Champs, I thought you were talking about a dozen or so....you say you are down to four, because you built one. Honestly, I do not think 4 NIB (previously 5,) even comes close to being the bigggest private collection. Jerry S. (Pleiku) used to buy a NIB Super Champ every time the price of gold went up 10 cents, and last year, he gave one away just for the fun of it- well, you had to be the first person to answer his riddle correctly. I think he would be the first to admit that even with his 6 gold plated Super Champ chassis' and the loads of aftermarket parts, that he still did not have the largest private collection. Did I already say that the Super Champ is an SRB? Oh, yeah, I guess I did. Scott
  5. Hey guys, I have thrown in the towel, trying to find the parts to put another one of these Hot Trick Dog Fighter conversions together, so I decided to just ebay it, along with the few remaining parts I have. If you are interested, take a look here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...E:IT&ih=012 Scott (aka Misterhottrick)
  6. Definately the Hot Trick Fox. Hot Trick never did make a conversion for the Falcon. If you wanted to sell it, people seem to be going nuts for this stuff right now, on ebay. If I were you, I would remove the extra junk (refer to the schematic to see what is actual Hot Trick) and clean it up, then list it. Compliments of my archives:
  7. Dee, I get what you are saying completely. I myself rarely post or respond to posts on TC anymore, for reasons you have mentioned. It is really a bummer though- thinking back to the thread that started this, I could understand it being hacked down to nothing if it were nothing more than name calling and insults flying, but it was not- it was a response, a grown up response by other members who saw a friend take a "punch" and we contributed to the thread in our own way, explaining why we thought it was wrong, and cited examples. Sure it was made personal, but its hard not to make something like that personal. I do not see anything offensive or insulting about the truth, but hey, like Chris said, club rules, club rules......I too find it hard to comply, but like I said before, I really do not even contribute to the forums anymore anyways. WG
  8. Hello, Just wondering if anybody here has ever heard of a Pulsar, as in reference to a motor. I have a Parma package, labelled "Pulsar Endbell #3555" and was trying to figure out what it actually was used on. Thanks to anybody who can help. WG
  9. Okay, Okay H...............I will move on, and I will just bite my tongue, or fingers next time. I will give you cudos..........how the heck did you find that old post of mine.......I forgot I even wrote that, lol. Honestly though, my knuckleheads comment had to do with real life situations that i had been involved with, where I had formed a general opinion about those people because I did not like the business practice. Enough of my nonsense though, I don't want any of the mods to get nervous over our friendly banter, so, cheers mate![] WG
  10. I'm not sure where this anger comes from H.......it seems like you have issues with ebay, and people who do business with it. You make reference to people in an almost vicious way sometimes, in this post, their crime being that they did not post an auction within the price parameters that you believe to be correct. Who cares brother!!!!! It does not affect your life any way what so ever, yet you refer them to as twits and whatever else you come up with. WG
  11. Hate to be the voice of dissent, but it almost seems like Chris is having to push this thing on Tamiya HQ.........It almost seems as if the potential recipients of such a magnificent machine may never appreciate it. How about TamiyaUSA HQ........after all, Pleiku68 spent oodles on that gold plating, so why not let him present it over here? Could we take a vote??
  12. Hmm.....okay. Well, lets hope that old Pleiku doesnt want his parts back.....................
  13. The new year is here! Any updates on the Tamiyaclub Sand Scorcher build?? WG
  14. I am going to have to stand next to axemandavva on this one- a quick example, would be something that happened a couple years ago: a young lady was selling some extremely nice vintage Tamiyas; all absolutely mint, shelf queens, of which one happened to be a Blazing Blazer. She basically said that these were her Grandfathers toys, who took great joy in putting them together, and even more in looking at them each day. Unfortunately, she was selling these cars and trucks, due to her Grandfathers ailing condition, and they were really strapped for cash. The listings were messed up to say the least. I think she had the word Tamiya in the title, but that was about it. So, me being the evil idiot, who can not keep his stupid mouth shut, emailed her, and explained to her what she had, what it was, and that if she took better pictures, she would probably get a ton of money for it. She took my advice, and of course, the newly revised Blazing Blazer took in a ton of dough. I was not the only one who emailed her, as she went out of her way to thank all of the helpful people on ebay. I guess I can see people getting mad at others for "spoiling" good bargains for others, but I know that I certainly appreciate it when somebody helps me out with some unknown piece of equipment that I am trying to sell. To get mad at things such as this, kinda makes me think that people are taking this hobby wayyyyyy too seriously, but then again, who am I, and who cares, heh heh. WG
