  1. I really like these
  2. Stupid question...but why not a cockpit set? Does Tamiya not do those anymore?
  3. Think cute little quad motor drone that looks like a turtle.
  4. Got confirmation from MCI that he's doing my Tamiya Bruiser decals in 1/16th! Woo Hoo! Mini Bruiser!
  5. The Super G is a great runner...for your yard and driveway. The high CoG tends to send them rolling over in turns with a hotter motor and you'll spend more time on your roof than on your wheels. With that being said, the Super G is light years better than its stock version and fun to drive.
  6. Yes! This is the WPL C24 1/16 Toyota Hilux 4WD in kit form. This one does not come with electronics, other than the steering servo and motor. They are made by WPL and are just a smidge below hobby grade, but there are A TON of metal upgrade parts that put them in the hobby grade segment easily. My kit was $30 USD shipped from an ebay seller. But they are sold all over the place and from reputable dealers like banggood and gearbest. You can start here: https://www.banggood.com/search/wpl-c24.html?sbc=1 Mine is en route, but there's a ton of information and videos out there to look at.
  7. Thanks she's much prettier and colorful in-person vs. this sub-standard camera photo on my iphone.
  8. Well, got the last piece of the puzzle for my Wild One Runner. Went with a Tamiya Super Stock RZ motor. This build has been slowly pieced together for the last year and a half. A Frankenstein runner of vintage/rere parts. I can keep my 100% vintage box art as a Shelf Queen and run the stuffing out of this one Just waiting for the ESC, motor and pinion which are all in the mail right now. Then to cut off the roof rack mounting points and zip-tie the basket to the frame rails. She's getting close to being done (crummy iphone pic)
  9. Mokei summed it up very well. (I have a restored vintage Super G, runner Super G and a stock vintage GHII). To add onto his post, the rear wheel mounting tabs on the inside of the hub can get very brittle and sheer off. This particular design (mounting tabs) was also used on the Falcon, which was also prone to the breakage.
  10. Well, I started buying a boatload of parts for the C24 Hilux today Upgraded aluminum wheels, micro ESC, flysky reciever, 1000mah 2s lipo, ts-15 paint, metal upgrade knuckles and shafts. She's going to be a mini Bruiser :) Contacted MCI to do 1:16 Bruiser decals
  11. Bought one of these little guys in kit form
  12. Finally getting close to finished my runner Wild One project. Ordered the ESC and pinion. All that's left is the motor, to which I'm going with the GT Tuned. Good speed and it won't grenade my gearbox.
  13. @Grastens That Astute was/is one of my favorite buggies on this ENTIRE site in the 15 years I've been here. Everything about that color scheme and buggy stance works beautifully. I'd love to have an Astute one day
  14. Came for Tamiya in New Jersey. Leaving disappointed.
  15. This is what happens when you get the macro lens That turned out really nice btw
  16. I have had rubber bands crumble like that as I've used several NOS balloon/metal parts bags for several restorations.
  17. Thread title doesn't deliver
  18. I read your username as "Barf". Sorry, I LOL'ed
  19. Excellent point Juggular
  20. I have many black original vintage balloons on my MSC's and they're holding up fine. Rubber bands on the other hand, those things are turning into dust :/
  21. I too see those body posts are awfully long
  22. Awesome find and a super complete car (meaning you got the MSC cover and all). My Falcon restoration was the most expensive one to date.
  23. All of the Nichimo cars were weirdly proportioned and ugly as a red-headed stepchild, except the Exceed Pro 443. It's the handsome sibling. Nice score Weffrey
  24. I sure don't Should be an easy find for you though
  25. You should send me that big NGK decal Great find btw and it looks to be in really good shape!
