^^^ Looks fantastic!

Well...I've gone and done it and I've finally bit the bullet. I'm building an Avante.

What’s in your current collection ?
NWarty replied to SuperChamp82's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
Just finished a runner Wild One with a mix of vintage and re-re parts last month. I'm looking for a new "First 100" resto-project, preferably a buggy. Need to find the right basketcase. -

How do you attach your USA Flag to a Bullhead?

I spent 20+ years in the Army and still can't sift through the civilian world of firearms I'll just be over here with my .303 SMLE, tea, and strumpets. -
How do you attach your USA Flag to a Bullhead?
NWarty replied to Jason1145's topic in General discussions
Step 1: Buy case of Budweiser Beer Step 2: Buy high-caliber firearm Step 3: Chug can of Bud while firing an AR-15 into the air and shout "Murrica!" as you attach said USA flag Step 4: Profit??? -
Final pieces came in last night for my 1/16 WPL C24 kit. So all in all, here's, the options I bought for it: Metal upgrade axles Metal axle/diff housings Metal driveshafts Metal servo and steering rod Aluminum steering knuckles Aluminum wheels Full bearings 2-speed transmission with larger motor and servo 10A ESC and FlySky GT3C receiver Custom decals from Nathaneal at MCI Still would like oil dampers at some point. But, I finally got to drive it around last night around the living room and up/over the dogs' beds. Transmission works great and much quicker with the larger motor. Can't wait to get it out in the yard with some better weather, to run and take photos

I seriously need a new restoration project, a First 100 project. A buggy of some sort. If you have a basket case project in need a new home, please hit me up via PM.

What does everyone do with their vintage cars?
NWarty replied to NlGHTHAWK's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
Same here. Once a year they get to stretch their legs and ALL OF THEM get run. Oddly enough, the only one that hasn't gotten any asphalt time is my restored Grasshopper. -

Welcome back! -
Spent last night working on my Mini-Bruiser (WPL C24 Hilux 1/16). Options include full-metal upgrade, two-speed transmission, metal diff housings, and aluminum wheels.
-
Decals came in for my WPL C24 and I’ve painted the front brush guard. Although the 3D printed brush guard isn’t entirely accurate, it’s a nice tribute to its big brother. The MCIRacing decals are absolutely gorgeous, glossy, and a huge thanks to Nathaneal for re-sizing them down to 1/16. Working on the rear brush guard this evening.

So true. I love to take a basket case and bring her back to like-new condition. It's very satisfying

Now we're done! Really sings with the Super Stock RZ. She's done for the most part. I'm tempted to get the shapeways engine and exhaust for it, later down the road. Really nice to have a Wild One runner and be able to keep my restored vintage one on the shelf.

Running under its own power now! Front headlights are coming in today which should complete the project. Photos this weekend.

I'm SO close to getting this Wild One runner done. Last night I got the Hobby King X-Car 45A brushed ESC installed, soldered on Deans connectors, along with the Flysky GT3C receiver. Dremeled off the mounting lugs and installed the basket/light bar and cranked everything down tight. Installed the roof section and tidied all the wiring up. Last piece of the puzzle is the Tamiya Super Stock RZ motor which is en route from RCMart. Better photos once the motor arrives.

Honestly, I'm super excited there's a girl figure
