Ok last question. :-) :-)
will my 30 year old acoms radio gear be able to be used ?
-
Next daft question - if I do bring my wife and kids do any of them need trackside BRCA membership ?
-
Daft question but is it electric only at robin hood raceway?
-
My enthusiasm has been dampened slightly as I’m now decorating the living room this Saturday...
I cannot wait to get to this track and have a play. I’ve joined the Facebook page so hope to see you soon.
If I can get out in the afternoon what time does it go on until?

Search for Tamiya Junkies on Facebook. Robin Hood Raceway is near Blyth, nit far from you. Google it and you will fine. You BRCA membership for insurance (which £20 for the year.) Apply online and bring your number to the meet along with £7 for thday itself. No timing or racing, just run what you brung.
Thanks! Can I bring the family?

Do you mean the flat dish ones with the slots around the outside, or the dishes ones with the round holes? They have both been used on the Optima. The ones that are on the Pajero were not used on the Optima, but were fitted to the Kyosho Sierra Cosworth.
I have used sets of the first two available if you are interested.

Hi @junkmunki
its the ones in this picture: I think they are the sexiest wheels ever.
If you have a set of these I’d definitely be interested

Hi folks I didn’t want to hijack the pajero thread I just want to ask -
Where can I get those PUG 205 gti rally style wheels from? That used to be on the optima
-
So I got my batteries and last night fired her up. Remember the old beep beep of the speed controller , the car was proper rapid.
I think it’s a demon motor not sure the spec. Back in the day we just called it ‘modified’ class. I never got more techie than that about the whole thing.
Car understeering like mad, just like the old days lol.
The front suspension is soggy. I push it down and it doesn’t spring back. Put some other springs on. No difference.
Questions- where can I find nuts bolts and screws for this car? (Example one of the wheel screws holding the wheel on fell out)
is it possible to convert these to 2wd?

I’m drooling - both at all those bodies and that RS200!!! Wow how do you get that so clean!!! It’s gorgeous.
Yes all those bodies would be on my Xmas list
....in the meantime ... I ordered some BMW M3 bodies direct from frewer
im waiting to see if they will arrive
@acprc send me that engine I’ll get it moving! It cannot be more seized than mine was!

Most definitely good
LoL thanks!
Hopefully I’ll do it justice in the restoration.

Thanks for replies, things are clearer to me now.
@NWarty not sure if that’s good or bad

I feel your pain this was always my absolute bugbear when racing illustrated by huge cable ties holding down the servos. I always found Velcro the best for sticking down static items.
I tried to buy some today actually. It’s hard to get hold of. Pun intended.

Speaking of bodies.. is this car just a weird size? Are there any aftermarket bodies that would fit the same dimensions as the RS200 ?
Loving watching the build, excellent.

Thank you, that makes sense. Well when it all arrives I shall report back.

No problem @johnboy1 ....
I bought the VOLTS saddle pack from the ebay link I posted.
But model sport tells me they are unsuitable and for 1/14th scale
i don’t understand
they are 2100mah 7.2v ni-mh why won’t they work....
-
Hmm seems not, I would need a new ESC and then radio gear and I kinda just wanted to buy some ni-mh and go and play.
Might be able to create something that will accommodate a stick pack pushed through the drive train belt !! :-0

much as it goes against my better judgement to help you when it will deter you from going through with you giving them to me, here goes:

"sob sob"
Oh blimey, thank you!! Plenty to get my teeth into there ... I’ll digest it all
Is an easy option is to just buy Lipo cells? I was told they are a bit scary and... would they work with all this old equipment ?

Final last question - what the heck are shock protectors , and do I need these before I can run?
