Search for Tamiya Junkies on Facebook. Robin Hood Raceway is near Blyth, nit far from you. Google it and you will fine. You BRCA membership for insurance (which £20 for the year.) Apply online and bring your number to the meet along with £7 for thday itself. No timing or racing, just run what you brung.

Thanks! Can I bring the family?

Do you mean the flat dish ones with the slots around the outside, or the dishes ones with the round holes? They have both been used on the Optima. The ones that are on the Pajero were not used on the Optima, but were fitted to the Kyosho Sierra Cosworth.

I have used sets of the first two available if you are interested.

    Hi @junkmunki

its the ones in this picture: I think they are the sexiest wheels ever.

If you have a set of these I’d definitely be interested ;)

  3. So I got my batteries and last night fired her up. Remember the old beep beep of the speed controller , the car was proper rapid.

I think it’s a demon motor not sure the spec. Back in the day we just called it ‘modified’ class. I never got more techie than that about the whole thing.

Car understeering like mad, just like the old days lol.

The front suspension is soggy. I push it down and it doesn’t spring back. Put some other springs on. No difference.

Questions- where can I find nuts bolts and screws for this car? (Example one of the wheel screws holding the wheel on fell out)

is it possible to convert these to 2wd?

  4. I’m drooling - both at all those bodies and that RS200!!! Wow how do you get that so clean!!! It’s gorgeous.

Yes all those bodies would be on my Xmas list

....in the meantime ... I ordered some BMW M3 bodies direct from frewer

im waiting to see if they will arrive

@acprc send me that engine I’ll get it moving! It cannot be more seized than mine was!

  5. I feel your pain this was always my absolute bugbear when racing illustrated by huge cable ties holding down the servos. I always found Velcro the best for sticking down static items.

I tried to buy some today actually. It’s hard to get hold of. Pun intended.

much as it goes against my better judgement to help you when it will deter you from going through with you giving them to me, here goes:

Oh blimey, thank you!! Plenty to get my teeth into there ... I’ll digest it all

Is an easy option is to just buy Lipo cells? I was told they are a bit scary and... would they work with all this old equipment ?
