Pure speculation on my part but I believe it’s for space reason’s and so you can easily replace them if they blow.
-
I’ve been away but just checked and the Bigwig/Boomerang part would fit with some filing down. The hotshot parts tree you need is super rare and will be very hard to find.
-
Could maybe try a Boomerang or Big Wig C6 part? It’s blue of course and not exactly the same but if you’re desperate…

I used a guy called K Worx before. Very happy with the results. Can’t compare to anyone else though. K Worx He did this shell for me: - -
On the super rare chance that anyone has one and is willing to let it go… please get in touch. Thanks so much.

Yeah definitely! I was quite confused why those were listed as a hop up with no way to use them before.- 1173 replies

The carbon stay is not keyed to the bulk head. What you see in the official part photos of the stay that look like it’s keyed is in fact recesses for the screws. It’s a bit too fast with this motor to be honest! But it sure is a blast! The stock gears were holding up remarkably well but I was always worried.- 1173 replies

Swapped out the stock rear damper stay for the carbon stay today, along with swapping out the ball diff for geared diffs and metal bevel gears. The geared diff is much smoother in my opinion and works very well.- 1173 replies

Love it! One thing I found was that mounting the ESC behind the driver meant I could not attach the plastic part that attaches to the shell that sits behind the driver as there was just not enough room. This solution looks ideal.- 1173 replies

Still finishing off the shell for mine so I’ve only run ‘er on a stand for testing, you’re all making me nervous for a real world run. Best try locate some gearing spares ahead of time.- 1173 replies

Yeah. So Tamiya list them on the hop up guide but they do not fit the wing mounts. So unless you can get different mounts for the racing wing this seems the place to put them- 1173 replies

It’s yours. Everything gone now.
-
All yours. Only the TD4 rear stabiliser mount left now.

Hi everyone. A mistake on ordering and I ended up with two adjuster wrenches and two TD4 rear suspension mount. I’ve also got a reamer but I don’t believe it’s a genuine Tamiya part. In any case they are all free to a good home! All I ask is that it’s one per person. I’ll post to the first three members that put their name down for each in early January. Just PM me your address details. Merry Christmas all.
