My other hobby is real VW bugs and busses and hence I got inspired when Tamiya did the re-re-Scorcher in 2011 and had Bugbox of Weiden produce a 1:1 vehicle to pormote. So I bought myself a Scorcher and it was sitting in the box for years, as I never had found time to even start putting it together. Once I found time, I drove the bare chassis / unpainted body and it got me hooked. 

So next in line was a Monster Beetle, followed by a Tamiya Beetle on M06 chassis (bought as finished car, as it has exactly the colour of one of my real beetles), followed by a Blitzer Beetle Brushless and since yesterday followed by another Scorcher I snapped up locally. On top I have a Sand-Rover Body kit sitting waiting to go on a chassis.

The Monster Beetle was a father / daughter project were we worked together on it and she got decide on the colours. Don't laugh at me on paint quality, this was my first ever RC and it did show me the ultra high level of cars you folks are doing in here. Mods to it include removing of the body clips and replacing with neodym magnets (to close the holes in the body), fixed an smoothed front clip, full LED light system, Dashboard, full telemetry system.
