  1. Thanks, I already took out the cups, but I’ll probably just keep everything else in so I can get quickly swap to 4wd if needed.
  2. Ok thanks, drift tires are currently in the mail lol
  3. Do I Have to remove all of those or is just the dogbone removal fine. I should have specified, doughnuts are really all I wanted to do so yeah it’s fine. Thanks
  4. So I converted my tamiya tt-02 into a 2wd car so it can drift a little, mostly just spins out but I kind of like it. I did it by removing the things in the picture, and it performs fine, slower but that’s to be expected when you remove half of its power, but it makes a little whine when first hitting the throttle. I’m not sure if this is fine and just the diffs spinning freely or if it’s damaging it. Thanks.
  5. Ok yeah probably won’t run 3s then, thanks!
  6. would just a heat sink and a fan work for the motor or would I need a brushless. For reference I’m Using the stock motor (mabuchi 540) and it already gets quite hot.
  7. What's the motor & esc? First thing I do with the car, is bearings and a hardened pinion, the stock tamiya pinions don't last. Pretty much as stock as it gets, the stock mabuchi 540 motor and a tble-02 esc.
  8. Been running my tt02 for a few days now on a 2s and really enjoyed it, but was wondering what would have to be done for it to run 3s. I already have actual metal ball bearings and not the cheapo plastic ones that come with it, so what else would I need.
  9. So I was working on my tt-02 that I’ve had for a while now, but could never get working despite taking it apart multiple times, and obviously I’ve used a lot of grease, and now I’ve run out. I did happen to find a spare bottle of traxxas grease and was wondering if that would work instead, see image of what it looks like
  10. Thanks for all the help, but I just called Tamiya and the guy there said it sounds defective and to send it in. Thanks for the help and sorry for wasting your time.
  11. Tried it, still the same result
  12. This probably isn’t good, but my receiver, the spektrum sr310, only has ports for steering, throttle, aux1, and bind I currently have the esc plugged into aux1 and the steering servo in steering. Maybe plug it in throttle? The receiver also used to light up orange when active, but is not doing it anymore.
  13. Alright. Thanks so much for your time and help!
  14. No, it worked after the solder job.
  15. It did work, but when I restarted just recently, when I turn on the esc, it beeps and nothing works. Reversing the wires does nothing
