Hi all, as per the title really. Just wondering what size wheels the cc01 lowering kit has? I'm considering it, but don't want to use the chrome wheels that come with it.... Thanks!

Stripped a chassis thread! - CA glue?

Thanks Big Jon, good to hear. This is just one of the transmission cover screws. -

Yeah that's the final step, 3mm threaded rod and a couple of nuts should sort it out if the CA fails π -

That also sounds like a solid option, thanks! -

Right, I've got some of this, it's quite thin but I'll give it a try, thanks π -

Brilliant, yeah it does make sense, think that'll be my first step. Then the helicoil/Schumacher kit if that fails! Any suggestions on which CA glue is best? -

Sorry for being a bit slow, do you mean add CA glue, to the hole and let it set, then add oil to the screw and screw it in? -

Ah I've not heard of this. Is it just a case of using the cotton bud to swab the inside of the hole with CA glue? -
Morning everyone, I managed, somehow, to strip the thread from the plastic on my CC01 chassis last night. Weirdly, it only seemed to strip when I was undoing the screw, but anyway..... Thinking that a small amount of CA glue in to the hole should mean that the screw can bite again. Does that sound about right? Epoxy resin is surely too hard? Other options seem to be new chassis, helicoil kit or drill through and use threaded rod and nuts. What's the group opinion!? Thanks π

Hi all, Just building my Blitzer Beetle, and I'm just on the servo bit now. Everything seems to fit fine, but there's a gap between the servo body and the horn. My CC01 seems to be the same, but does this look ok? No play in it, and I didn't have to force anything......

Exposing aluminum & primer paint effects

Thanks RB, I have considered it actually, there's some really fine examples of paint schemes using masking fluid. Might have to give it a go π -
Exposing aluminum & primer paint effects

Brilliant, thank you Jenny, I really appreciate that. Really useful information! I'll get some practice on spare plastic too, don't want to be too heavy handed with the sanding! -
Hi all, As the title suggests, I'm looking for some advice on how to get that exposed metal / primer effect on my Blitzer Beetle. A bit like the pic below (stolen from IG)....I can only find full on weathering tutorials online, just want this look. Thanks!

For me personally, as long as you manage your expectations then there's no problem. If I order something and it takes a few days extra, I don't get wound up about it. Heard stories of people going bat-**** at companies for not being able to offer usual quick delivery services. Seems a bit out of order to me...

It's a Blitzer beetle...... -
Hi all, New build kit on the way, and I want a Matt finish. Can you spray ts80 over the paint and stickers? If not, do stickers adhere ok to a Matt finish? Thanks Ben

Hi all, Trying to get a higher 55T motor for my mog, but struggling to fine one that'll suit the ESC I've chosen. I'm using a hobbywing 1060 which has 4mm bullet connectors, but a the motors seem to have 3mm connectors. Any suggestions of a good combination? Not too expensive, and the motor leads needs to be ready attached..... Been looking at the rc4wd motors and the axials too, but neither look like a good fit.

Not looked at the Arma, but I think the Blitzer is my current favourite. Lots of hop ups and plenty of cool paintjobs about too...
