Thanks Snappy1. i think you’re right - I didn’t move the pinion over far enough and it chewed up one half of the drive wheel. ive done a fix for now but will probably replace it after the lockdown of when it starts slipping again. I'm in the UK thanks again!

Hi, I’ve just built a Hotshot and on the first test drive the pinion (13t) has shredded the drive gear. I'm pretty sure I got the set plate fitted correctly but wonder if i did something wrong in assembly. Any ideas on what I may have done? Also I’m looking at getting a new plastic gear bag but wonder if there is a metal version I should upgrade to? Any recommendations for online shops gratefully received too. thanks in advance for your help and guidance!
