  1. Just got in my MB stock tires, and they are softer than I remember. I’ve searched many threads but can’t find good foam recommendations for them. Any recommendations?
  2. I have the original 10t, a 13T and a 14T. The 13 worked well with a Trackmaster turbo glide (which has since been removed). Experimenting now with MIP diff in stock gear case to see what runs well.
  3. Nice, do you have any idea if the stock monster tires would benefit from foams?
  4. Is there some special type of foam, or can they be made from foam pipe insulation or similar?
  5. Running a just under 30yo Trinity Nuclear Assault.
  6. Yes you’re right, just zooming around the backyard track.
  7. Looking for replacement brushes for a vintage Trinity motor. They are the stand up kind (vertical against the comm rather than horizontal) with eyelets. I checked EBay but the prices seem more than I would expect. Will any stand up brush do, are are some better than others? Do they vary much in size for the 1/10 scale motors? Anything wrong with these https://www.amainhobbies.com/yeah-racing-hackmoto-v2-replacement-performance-motor-brushes-4-yea-ya-0415/p529889?
  8. Hey folks, I'm looking for tires I can use on stock Blackfoot wheels that would work well in loose dirt (back yard track). I'm pretty sure the Blackfoot wheels are 2.2". I see a lot of cool looking tires, but they seem to be focused on crawling, which I'm not looking for. I was looking at the Pro line Destroyers 2.2, any others I should consider? Also, what are foams used for? Is this to firm up the tire? Thanks for any guidance you can give. BTW, I'm not going for any "look" (like monster truck or otherwise), just something that will perform well.
  9. Hey folks, I have an original Tamiya Mud Blaster (Blackfoot essentially) which has gone through some changes over the years (Trackmaster Turbo Glide, Thorp dog bones, Tekin SC, Trinity Nuclear Assault motor, aluminum oiled shocks), but hasn’t really been used for the last 25 years or so. The Telkin TSC410S speed control doesn’t have reverse, and that’s not going to work for bashing, so I’m looking to do the Lipo and Brushless conversion, but don’t know where to start. I have already received the MIP diff and the Tamiya universal axels (the Trackmaster diff was missing the diff screw and I lost a dog bone somewhere along the way - now it’s all “vintage” and parts cost an arm and a leg”). I would be looking for whatever else I need to get this puppy running its best. I would probably also get a new transmitter/receiver, my kids are making fun of me with my Futaba Attack FP-T2NBL and it’s 3 foot long antenna. Thanks for any suggestions you can give.
