  1. Hi guys, just a quick one, would like some suggestions, I currently have a tt02, pretty much everything I can do has been done to it,  gears, everything alley&carbon  although I know some wouldn’t agree with it! I like the look, I currently am running a 2s lipo alongside this brushless set up, I just want more power and speed, although the esc is compatible with 3s Lipo I would like a better motor, any suggestions  please! All differential gears have been up graded, along side prop shaft, oil filled shocks, all the wheel hubs are alley, carbon dampers, alley wheels, bearings, the lot, I just want more speed 😂 cheers guys

    Hello and welcome!

Yes, it would be able to handle brushless power. Just as with brushed motors, brushless ones have different ratings and different power outputs, placing different demands on the drivetrain and requiring different levels of upgrades for it to cope. Chances are the car will come with a TBLE-02 dual mode ESC, which can run a brushed or brushless motor. A 13.5t "Bluebottle" works well with this and is a good match for the chassis too once you have fitted a few key upgrades - a bearing set, steel pinion and oil-filled shocks.

Changing all the parts for alloy might look pretty, but is a poor choice for a car that is actually going to run. For a runner, some parts are better in alloy, some in carbon fibre, some in steel and some in plastic. You would be better off choosing your materials according to their task, for example steel for the pinion, carbon fibre for the shock towers, alloy for the propshaft, plastic for the suspension arms and so forth.

Thanks mate, that’s just what I needed! What a cool place this is,

I like the look of the gtr but that’s set up for drifting, I like the idea of having headlights and things in it 😀

  3. Hi guys super new to this, sorry if in the wrong section. I have just purchased Monte Carlo tt02

on the website it said it was compatible with a brushless motor,

so if I was to buy a motor combo

and a 2s lipo, would it be able to handle it?
im also going to change all parts out for ally just because I think they look super cool,

any help would be much appreciated

    cheers, jack
