  1. Finished the body! Still have to cut down the rear sway bar ends, but I think I’m done with this period correct Fox for now. For all those wondering, the rear sway bar is a combination of a vintage Parma Optima rear sway bar and the fiberglass mounting plate from a vintage Parma Fox adjustable body mount. The only mods are to drill two small holes on the rear arms, along with cutting the body back a bit to clear the sway bar. 👍
  2. Continuing work on my Vintage Fox. The body is cut to fit the custom rear sway bar setup I have.
  3. I’m still debating on whether or not to use this new old stock speed controller. I feel like I need to preserve it. Lol
  4. For me it was a Futaba FP-T2F transmitter. We would convert the throttle to a slot car controller.
  5. I’m looking for these particular pieces to help finish my vintage Fox. I live in the US. Thanks!
  6. Great job! I’m working on a Blackfoot too! Small world, huh? 👍
  7. Anybody collect the 60mm terrain titans and tomy q-steer Tamiya brand rc cars? I think I’ve got all of them now. They are pretty fun to run indoors and come with a bunch of spare parts like gear ratios and tires. I went the extra step and applied miniature vintage sponsors to the cars.
  8. Here’s a little trick stand I made using LEGO. It’ll keep from developing a flat spot due to all the weight of the bike resting on the front tire when sitting on your shelf for a prolonged period.
  9. Thanks! The tire rack I found on eBay. Just type in 1/10 scale rc tire racks and there’s a bunch to choose from.
  10. Wow! That’s expensive. But I guess if I had millions of dollars I’d probably buy a NIB vintage SRB for several grand.
  11. I’d put the Supershot undertray on to help protect the chassis. 👍
  12. Anyone else preorder a Hotwheels Cybertruck? Here’s the link if anybody’s interested: https://hotwheelscollectors.mattel.com/shop/en-us/hwc/hw-cybertruck-rc/1-64-hot-wheels-cybertruck-r-c-gxg30
  13. rc_loverr is someone I buy from on eBay and he’s a reliable seller. He has them for the Wild One
  14. I can’t think of any funny sponsor ideas right now but when I had my full scale Sand Scorcher, I made a Tamiya rpm gauge decal and stuck it on my dash. People were like Whats that all about then?? 😁
  15. Thanks! When I had a garage I used to build a lot of custom vehicles. I also did a cool Military Jeep using a 2001 TJ as a platform.
  16. I sold it a few years later for a huge profit. It’s one of those regretful sells though. I do plan on building another one in the future, possibly with a Subaru or Ford 2.3 motor. I also want a full size Wild Willy some day. 😁
  17. I currently have two vehicles. My daily driver is a 2015 Fiat Abarth, and when the weather is bad or when it snows, I drive my 1989 Toyota 4Runner.
  18. I had a 1600 dual port in it. It was plenty of power. Yeah I was inspired by that German build. Tamiya had commissioned them to do it with a budget of 100k! I think I was able to to mine for around $3500. I still have the decal files I made using Adobe Illustrator on disc somewhere, so I can definitely do this again someday. That was the hardest part of the build, and the most satisfying when I applied them. It was like having a giant rc car. 😂
  19. I’m a huge fan of LEGO! I have several Mocs of vintage Tamiya cars as well!
  20. Back in 2009 I decided I wanted to build a scale Tamiya Sand Scorcher. I thought maybe some of you would enjoy this. Here’s my build from AZbaja.com: http://www.azbaja.com/ForumsPro/viewtopic/t=5552/start=0/finish=10000.html
  21. Hi! A lot of stuff was sold off over the years, with the exception of a bunch of SRB parts and lots of random rc parts and hardware from mostly Tamiya kits from the eighties I have currently. I did however store several boxes of vintage parts and incomplete kits at my Dads house years ago, and unless he threw them away, I’m hoping to pick those up soon. The only complete cars I still have from my childhood right now is my Yokomo YZ-10 clay oval racer and my Kyosho NSR500 which I recently restored. From my box of SRB stuff so far I’ve been able to build nearly two complete Superchamps and one Rough Rider/Sand Scorcher. I also have the body mounts and rollbar for the Ford F-150, so I’m hoping to find a Ranger body for that. On top of that I’ve been activity buying a bunch of vintage cars to restore on EBay. I have a Tamiya Fox that’s near completion, and a Yokomo YZ834-B that needs a few things. Yeah, I’ve been busy. 😂
  22. I’ve been collecting vintage rc catalogs and came across this on eBay. It arrived today!
