Now theres an idea...

Got the chassis built and running and the body masked ready for the black spraying. Got a couple of tins of ps9 green for the body, darker than the ps22 tamiya reccomend but I think it'll be a closer match to Land Rover Epsom Green. Only trouble is I drove past a 1:1 Red Defender today and thought that looks nice....

Yeah I got a Bowler wildcat on the builds forum if I ever get it finished. Also had a VW bug from Keith back in the day. Decent quality bodies well moulded and easy to paint. Only thing is a lot of his stuff is Mardave Banger class so may be 1/12th scale, so may need an M chassis to run on

Having built the two MF-01s they are an easy build and give a nice solid chassis. They so far seem to manage my flatish front lawn whne its cut short but not much kop on the side garden which is sloped and lumpy, hop up wise I havent really looked at any yet aside from bearings which i fitted in the build. Wheels are a bit small on the Jimny and neither that or the Merc have any sort of real ground clearance. They also cant really be "decorated much", light buckets and like because the wheels are close to the front. Plus side is an extendable wheelbase so can get a few different bodies to fit. As far as i remember for the CC-01 they are fairly decent "stock" and will cope with a bit of rough stuff while not being a true crawler or trail truck. I`ll hopefully jog my memory when my Landy gets here this week

Don`t get drifting at all. But if you want one to try out to see how it goes our boy got himself a FTX Banzai rtr and a hot bodies skyline shell that fits for less than £150 from our LHS.It seems ok and infinitely upgradable if you want to mess around later

Had a go on an old pop bottle with some sharpies last night. left it to dry and see how it goes when i spray it ;ater

Looking for something to put fine line details onto lexan shells and was wondering if these are any good for polycarb? Can`t seem to find pc-5 black brush paint anywhere and my brushing skills arent that much kop anyway. Its for body lines and window edgings etc so taping will be fiddly and easily messed up, so i`m after something to do a better(and easier) job.

T Tamiyaclub is your best bet here, friendly bunch and they don`t bite so go for it and if you get stuck on anything ask. Also Tamiya destructions are very very clear i find, with good clear indications of sizes needed

Got the snotwagon painted.

Like a silly git i`ve run out of black, so i was wondering can you use normal auto paint (acrylic) to back polycarb paint?

Productive evening yesterday, in between call outs I managed to get the black spraying done on the Merc, till I ran out of paint. And got 'Erbert put in the Wildcat Just need to decide whether to decal it then give it a good dust and a final laquering

Got permission of Er Indoors to order a CC=01 Defender, so I have, along with paints servo and bearings

Little man with an overactive brain and nowt else to do decided to have a try at a sort of transporter trailer to put the Wildcat on . If it ever gets finished i`ll put it up and give you all a look. Currently waiting on a mate running me some timber strips through his planer thicknesser to make the decking for it but I keep dragging him out fishing instead. So far the chassis hasnt been to bad to do, its basically aluminium angle strips from the local DIY shed and some plasticard (surprise surprise!!)

. As for plans i dont know yet. Build it then see what colour scheme. I am tinkering with the idea of doing it either ps46 pearlescent purple/green or the ps -47 champagne/gold pearlescent

I got back into it because i realised the mrs had nowt to moan about, so i thought i best get buying and give her reason to complain. Seriously because like most i was stuck indoors during lockdown

Said chassis might even get its makeover finished one of these days
