When a wheel size gives an offset of say 6mm, what exactly does that mean? does that mean it will sit 6mm further off the axle than a standard wheel? IE giving you a further 12mm track width? or have I got that completely wrong?

I use PS on the body accessories all the time like mirrors and wings etc. Wash the parts, primer them and then PS colour over. It has a sort of satin finish to it so you can go over it with TS gloss clear if you want it shiny.
It doesnt always match 100% as the final colour on a lexan shell is normally determined by the backing colour and how translucent the paint is but in a lot of instances you may not have a choice as matching colours arent available in both ranges.
Yeah I thought about that and was thinking of using the backing colour on the lexan as the primer so you should get a reasonable match up

Will PS paint work on the wing mirrors on an mf-01x or will I need to buy the corresponding TS acrylic spray for them?

Got a flyer from work today, so after re Muttproofing the fence I've had chance to cut the body, ream out the post holes and spray the black bits for the grill and Badge holder. Luckily I'm off tomorrow so will get a good swing at masking all the silver areas off ready for spraying oner the weekend.
The black marks all over the body are where I've gone over the lines on the outside to show where I'm hoping to mask. The plan is to have Metallic red for the body and silver bumpers and trims with possibly the door handles as well.
I'm undecided whether to do the mirrors red or silver

Last night I got it as far as a rolling chassis. Decided to stop, then decided to add the electrics. All very straight forward, the only fiddly bits I found was if you follow the instructions you have a bit of a fight installing the rear left shocker top fitting as you have to guide it round the propshaft cover. Other than that it was plain sailing

We're going to need some pictures of this build. I've recently acquired a M-chassis fetish. A 4-wheel spinning M looks fascinating.
I havent photo`d each stage but she`s up to rolling stage. I`ll sort a thread with photos of where she`s at tomorrow.

That's pretty amazing from Tamico. Shows really what an absolute shower our "Royal" Mail system is in the UK. When you compare how badly they've been affected in the last 2 months it's pitiful.
Delivery companies should be absolutely raking in profits now, with the shops closed everyone is relying on shopping online, which brings with it a necessity to deliver.
Militant, unionised ex-big-state industry vs. Free Enterprise in action!
I'm bitter because my postman brought me nothing but a bill today.
Can`t beat being a grown up and folks wanting your playtime money

My RC spending will be staying in lockdown. That’s the day that Mrs BC is being made redundant (and possibly offered the opportunity to apply for the same role for less pay and longer hours).
Thats crap matey. Hope she gets sorted soon

Allegedly shops can reopen, for those of us in the UK anyway. So wheres your first port of call modelwise? Anyone else who can`t wait to get out and properly browse for paint and bits and pieces? Personally I think i`ll try and hang on for a week or two to let the initial bedlam die down, then have a wander out to modelsport to get stocked up

Got myself an unbuilt rising fighter cheap on eBay, and was going to let daughter build and drive but both of them are happy with a madbull and new fighters, so wondering what to do with it now and looking for suggestions
thoughts so far -
1). A recent lockdown driving competition in the garden demonstrated how uncompetitive my hotshot was, so thinking I could build it, maybe add a sport tuned and lipo, to race the kids in garden
2) sell / part ex / swap it for a better off roader that would drive, handle and look better
3) I am keen to build something that I could hop up with a load of bling which was on show (unlike my hopped up on roaders which get fully covered by a shell) but unsure if the RF is worth it or something else would be better with more available cheap parts on eBay from china.
Any thoughts please?
Keep it for a fun daft basher? A sport tuned in, and some bearings you could have some fun round the garden or the park. Plenty of spare bodies around as well cheap enough so if you break it your not as bothered

That's is spot on. Bug looks fantastic and shots are superb
Personally I've sprayed a body. Was expecting sparkly cherry but it looks more Barbie pink. It'll do for a basher

Been looking at this the last few days and seeing as Lexan seems to be the material of choice these days is an airbrush a decent option, and how easy is it to do regarding setting up mixing and actual spraying?

Nowt today
hopefully tomorrow starts the packages rolling in. On the plus side did get an email from DHL to say my Jimny is on its way

Cheers Mad Ax. Looks like a lot of colours are hard to find lately. What is the best brush paint to use for the grill and stuff? was looking for a black PC5 but seems to be rarer than hens teeth now

cheers. That makes it clearer, although I`d heard the term offset in relation to 1:1 cars I`ve never heard the term backspace
