  1. The 18 versus 20 hole is no doubt being used correctly I even put a 20 T just to check if that gave a different result. It was the same. I am using full bearings since I built it. The GFL one I believe. Has two spur gear. Thanks for all the replies I’ll open it up and let you know what I find out this weekend.

  2. Ever since I burnt thru a pinion on my gf01 it’s been sounding and performing all bad. I’ve replaced the pinion twice now second time with a hardened 18T .6 mod. Ruled out the motor being and issue and it’s sounds and performs horrible. Wondering is anyone else has gear box issues with this model and what to expect when I crack er open?  Maybe I can pre order parts in preparation for the dismantling. Any ideas as to why the gear box might  sound horrendous?

I’ve been rolling with a hot reedy radon. But not too hot.

  3. The whole top row are my cars from BITD. I even have the build manuals to all but the LB. Sadly I did get rid of and  / or destroy of more than pictured like Frog, Audi Quattro y, Hot Shot, Cold Buster and Avante but I’m happy about the ones I retained

i also replicated my Audi Quattro 58036 and believe it or not this car does include some of my original Audi parts like one front shock, front bumper mount, one tire and rim, some of the plastic bumper “top hats” and steering rods. So my Audi kind of lives on and I have the build manual too

  4. Wow. Short wheelbase. I’ve still have yet to see one in person. As stated above lots of re re parts are the same like the radiator (I think) but the re re grill is totally different. My suggestion is to get the slotted grill from shapeways if you don’t just repair that one. Yeah, the bulkheads and the shock tower do break on these guys and I’ve about used up my vintage parts trees running and restoring my LWB and my 58036 which believe it or not shared mad parts with wild willys. Good luck with the restoration project!

Here is my one old and one new for your viewing pleasure
