    My BBX build

Fun build, I'm really trying to stop buying RC, too many expensive hobbies! That said the BB looks fun. As for the ball differential it's pretty much the same one in the TRF 201 which is a copy of the B4 RC10. It's bomb proof. Build the differential as the instructions tell you and you will be good to go.
  4. Its arrived...first Q answered, Yes Cod buster wheels are a strait bolt on. Some pics from the build thread. Next question, are there any steering mods to give it more front sterring other than the servo on axle and rear lock out mods?
  5. The truck just arrived, I put a pack through it. RUNS perfect. No strange noises from the transmission or axles. A quick scan and other than some road rash on the body and skid plates youd think it was a shelfer. Im floored how much fun it is. Im going to enjoy it for the rest of the week. Strip down will start next Monday, Stay tuned!!!!! What a blast of a truck, Tamiy needs to bring out a Jugg3!
  6. I love that C4, sorry you had to sell on the Fox body
  7. Thanks, I've been pretty fortunate so far. Lucked into the truck for below market and just scored wheels and tires for 150. They usually go for double. Going to drive it for the remainder of the week when it snows up and than it's tear down and build time
  8. SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET the bearing just showed up, I just need the truck!
  9. I love me some estates and Skodas me being a all things VAG fan boy. Alas I live in America and we get just Audi and VW.
  10. Well done sir, that was not easy!
  11. I'm betting most of us are car enthusiasts of all types. What's in your driveway/Garage? Sitting in my garage is a 2018 Hellcat Charger. I've upped the boost a little via a smaller pulley, and added larger injectors and a tune to keep all the parts inside the engine. It used to be a daily when I lived in California. Now it's Friday only when the weather is nice. Being a family guy with 3 kids it's the perfect fast car for me.
  12. Gah I didn't order enough shocks. Well 4 will do for now. Still waiting for the bearings and the Jugg wheels and Tires ...and the Jugg 🤣
  13. Shocks, axle housings, and rear body mount have arrived!!!! I'm super stoked. I'm e the truck arrives I'll drive it for the week with my son and clodbuster and than disassembly will begin! Praying that I don't find any broken parts
  14. First parts have arrived! Hardened 16th pinion gears, still deciding what motors to use. I'm thinking to use two RZs.
  15. As the TRF 5XX line evolved so did the DB01Rs. They share the same suspension geometries and drive layouts. Slippers, oneways, and differentials from the TRFs are drop in for the DB01s. In my opinion the DB01 has the leg up in being able to easily accept stick batteries. Saddle packs are getting rare and it's hard for me to find top spec packs for my 511. The DB01s handle as well as their trf brothers, and can use similar set ups. A top driver will be a little faster in a TRF due to it being lighter than the DB01s.
  16. ......and I just stumbled upon a set of Jugg wheels and tires. There seems to be a theme developing here.
  17. There's no durability issue with the Egress in regards to it's chassis. With the new front hubs from the 2011 Avante the one real weakness was eliminated.
  18. Happy weekend , I created a build thread yesterday, apparently they need approvals now? It's been 24 hours. It's for a Tamiya Jugg2. How long have you all waited for? Why do they require approvals?
  19. Happy friday all! To say Im stoked is an understatement. Ive been trying to purchase a Jugg2 for years. I wasnt on the hunt for one this past week when I wound up stumbling onto an add on evilbay while looking for a bullhead to add to the collection. While searching I happened onto an auction for a Jugg2 that looks near complete minus the wheels and tires. This thread will cover the tear down, rebuild, and the painting of a new body which will likely be the Highligt version due to the ease of avaialability, yes I understand there are subtle differences. This will be a runner that Ill used to bash around with in the yard with my kids and the clod. Ive currently ordered the following items: RC4WD internally sprung shocks, bearing set, Axle housings, Clod wheels and tires, and and rear body mount as I can not tell if it is included. More to follow!!!! Pic for clicks from the auction.
