Ok Tamiya AE has shot a salvo right over the bow. Now can we get a king cab/Monster racer?
-
Longer front and rear arms, taller front and rear shock towers, larger 2.2" tires and someone check me I believe the nose plate is different to accommodate a longer wheel base.
-
Interesting, looks like it has the OG stealth slipper and not the new design from the Worlds rere

I dont need a 10T, I dont need a 10T, I dont need a 10T...... Just ordered

Call AE, that have a great CC team And will assist.

eBay influences scalpers with their fees and taxes. It's not really economical to sell on eBay these days unless you have the volume to make up the fees and taxes. I don't really buy from eBay anymore for that reason. Getting a great deal on eBay is far and few between these days. I got a warning as well, lol.

Amazing build! I'm very interested in the 4wd version and this isn't helping! LOL.

I love supporting the.LHS. I spent near 100 more on 3 brushless combos this weekend at a LHS compared to online. I'm good with it .
-
It is nice to have offical support, BUT near all the spares are still online and where you cant find original AE stuff, FAN RC has everyhting.

Nice boat and 40th!

I think its more that they have the mold and its easier to drill it fo all types vice just drilling it for the old 6 gear and then one for the stealth. The Worlds used the stealth and the chassis is the same minus the extra step to mil it. It would be nice if we got a team car, more likely then a graphite.

Oh shoot why did you do that! Now I need to order one, that's smoking!

Ok, does this get the award for the oldest necro post? 22 years!!!!!!! Wow.

If you have that, it will likely work. Don't go out And buy more oil.

I've found that using 40WT front and 35WT rear with the same pistons used front and rear is a great base line for buggy shocks be it 2wd or 4wd. Basic set up for the 511 from team drivers is 40/35. I now use this for all buggies whether for track or yard use. It's a really good base line.

Oh I'm going crazy baby! Let's goooooo!!! Lol. Well 10.5 but still!

Disapointed! I just opened the Xerun 13.5 combo I purchased from Amain. It does not include the sensor wire. How do you sell a brushless sensored combo and not include the sensor wire. Geeze! AND Ebay has alwed Amain to make you wait 7 days before leaving a negative or neutral comment. Why? Hopeing that we forget and not leave the bad review?

Nice stuff! That said money to be made if you can reproduce the TRF5XX bulkheads.

Its spring, once baseball seaosn is over and Im done coaching my sons (2) teams itll be track time. Time to finish these builds. The DS and the Team car will be track rats to join the TF and 511. The Jugg2 will be a great looking yard basher. ANYWAY, this is the DS thread. The part that Ive been waiting for to finsh the build is a short front shock tower, and I finally have one. I never realy enjoyed the asthetics of the long front shocks, I really think Tamiya used a couple of AE's highly succesful race cars for inspiration. IF Tamiya were to make a new DS with some modern takes the first thing I think they wouild do is go with a shorter front shock tower with the gorgeous big bores. Here they are! So smoooooooooth. The blue shocks are PERFECT, no leaks, and super smooth. But in the original parts bin for now. 40 weight oil in these front shocks. Looks very good, no cab forward will EVER look this stunning. Great match for those beutiful rear big bores filled with 35 weight. One reason that I fitted the 201/DN01 front C hub and axle was to take advatage of modern materials while using Tamiya parts, second reason was to alow the use of modern wider front wheels. Here I have 201 wheels fitted, I have the optional axle on hand too that alows for the use of smaller bearings that can be used for a wider range of wheel options. That profile shot is just so good. Modern rear wheels, I like the DS/Super Astute/Top Force wheels when they first came out like 30 years ago. At this point thay are beyond played out in my opinion style wise and dont alow the use of modern 2.2" tires. These do the job nicely. Sitting a little high, but theres no motor, servo, or battery in there yet. Soon. Build is pretty much done, Ill update again once I have the 10.5 HW in, Servo, and track body painted up.
