  1. That is just darn cool!!!! Here's what I did today And yes frog jumper, those are your wheels and rollbar
  2. Soooo my adjustable motor mount arrived today. Here's my first test run. Since I only have the one phone, I don't know what the speed was and my road is ROUGH!!! I need to find a smooth road. Specs: 7 cell hump pack, 12t titan, 16t pinion, hobbywing 1060. Everything else is stock.
  3. Did a couple of test runs, not too shabby, I think even with the stock 540 this one is faster than the original was with the stock motor. Right now it's sporting a 12t titan, hobbywing 1060 and a 7 cell battery. I still have a few go fast parts coming before I start posting times but let's just say it's already faster than my stock 2wd slash...
  4. Challenge accepted! Btw, that was just a 7 cell hump pack, hobbywing 1060 and traxxas 12t titan motor... There is an adjustable motor plate, mip diff and larger pinions on the way...
  5. I found the top speed list thread on here a few days ago but can't find it now. Where did it go? I want to go after one of the records...
  6. At least you can beat my blackfoot... What app are you using?
  7. Amazingly the stock diff has held together so far... Next is a 3s battery... We'll revisit that diff afterwards...
  8. Let's see... I swapped out the tble 02s speed control my "sweet 16" blackfoot came with for a quicrun 1060, swapped out the stock tamiya motor for a 12t titan, popped in a 7 cell hump pack and....
  9. Used to happen to me back in the day of 20+ tooth pinions and 16 turn single motors with 9.6v double hump packs in my original blackfoot, king cab, jrxt and rc10t. I drilled a larger hole through the tab on the motor and used a crimped on ring connector with a screw through it to screw the wires to the motor. Then I started popping the solder drop fuse on my speed control (novak 410 iirc) so I just wrapped the two little tabs with copper wire... I burned up 2 jrxt's and a rc10t doing that...
  10. Personally I need a set of stand up brushes and springs for a Trinity Speedworks monster mash 16t single I bought for my blackfoot build...
  11. Local hobby shop on sale. I think it's originally for a traxxas. It has dimples for where the mount holes are supposed to be but I just marked and drilled holes for the Blackfoot. The rollbar is a chrome blackfoot oem, I drilled holes and made spacers to fit it. I took it out in the snow today and smoked the steering servo...lol...
  12. So I got the basher body done for the Blackfoot! I feel kind of like it's sacrilegious to put a Chevy truck body on a Blackfoot but.... I guess it's better than a digger body...
  13. Got pics??? I scored a chrome orv chassis and am thinking of what I want to build out of it. I'm thinking of lowering the suspension and building a buggy with monster truck tires. Maybe clod tires and wheels but with less than one inch ground clearance and a beetle body... Or maybe a similar route as your build, again lowering the suspension but instead of clod tires, adapting traxxas slash tires and wheels... I want to race an orv chassis build against modern stuff and hopefully not come in dead last...
  14. Was it 8 in the attack r? I wasn't sure, I haven't seen one in 30 years, all I remember is my mom yelling at because there was never any batteries in the house lol
  15. Thanks 👍👍👍 I got it figured out! Geez it's a Blackfoot, give me 2 servos, a mechanical speed control, a 700maH nicad battery, 14 AA's, and a twin stick radio with a bent antenna and I'll feel right at home...lol
  16. So I got my Blackfoot all together and hooked up all the electronics but the speed control won't do anything. The instructions are more confusing than helpful. All it does is blink red really fast like it's in protection mode. I switched the channels between steering and throttle and it still doesn't do anything. Any ideas?
  17. How much is that American $$$? Would you ship it to the states?
  18. Wait until it's sporting a chrome chassis and chrome wheels...
  19. Right now it's sporting a 12t traxxas titan but one of the members here located an original 16t single speedworks monster mash on eBay for me so I bought that for it. Hopefully it's a good motor because the monster mash was "the motor to run" in the Blackfoot back in the day and I want to build this one as close to my original one as possible. They were 40k rpm motors with 7.2V nicads and had a ton of torque. I'm swapping the body to protect it. I've never build a Blackfoot from scratch and really don't want to tear this one up. I have an orv chassis and other parts coming that I might build another complete truck from just to bash with.
