  1. Hi guys, Quick question for you, after running my newly built up new fighter with a 5000 nimh Coupled with the tble 02s and a 13.5 turn sensored brushless motor I was a tiny bit disappointed. If I powered it with a lipo would there be much improvement? if so do I just need a lipo alarm to warn when it gets low? I’m new to the lipo world ! Any help would be much appreciated!
  2. Love it, and love that colour ! which o rings did you use for the suspension? Mine rattles about like mad!
  3. Hey guys, ( sorry b for hijacking your thread!) just looking at my motor- it’s a track star 13.5t brushless and am going to run the tamiya tble-02. the motor just has A BC stamped on it with pegs next to each. And the speed control has blue, orange and yellow cables. do you just cut off the ends and solder them to the motor? If so in which order do they go? I can’t seem to find any info in the instructions! Thanks all!
  4. Hey, we have ourselves a build off! 🤣 As B said we ordered our kits at the same time.... his arrived a day earlier than mine though! I too have the steel pinion, and I’ll get a set of weights, I’ll check out those springs too. Im not going to run Lipo in mine but I have just received a brushless 13.5 turn motor . I started on mine today with my son, and 30 mins in we had only just got the rubber on the rims.... this may take a while!
  5. Wow, that suspension looks absolutely incredible, mine looks rigid compared to that!
  6. Your English is better than mine! I built up the clod a while ago with ball races, and I do love it! I think the thing for me that is the biggest let down is how bad the 4x4 system seems to be. It struggles with pretty much the same terrain as my 2wd midnight pumpkin!
  7. Hi, I can’t wait to see this thing getting built! what chassis is the farm king built on?
  8. Superb, that’s perfect. Can you buy an extension cable for the servo so it can reach all the way to the front ?
  9. Fab thank you. is this the steering kit? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UKMonsters-Tamiya-Clodbuster-Clod-Carbon-Servo-Plate-with-Linkage-steering-kit-/193932726228?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286 i presume you some how need to lock the rear steering and move the servo onto this kit?
  10. That’s fab advice thank you! I will have a hunt for a set👍 I struggled to find an axle mounted servo that’s in the uk last time I looked- can you recommend somewhere that sells them? thankyou!
  11. So built the clod a month or so ago and love it! So much fun, and was pretty easy to set it all up nicely. one thing that I’m not sure about is the standard shocks. They rebound so fast it’s like having pogo sticks for suspension! Any recommendations of oil filled units that you guys use at all? is it worth changing to one shock per wheel? Or keeping two? Thanks guys!
  12. Awesome, thanks Dave, I will check that site out.
  13. Ha ha! Hmmmm true I’ll have to cheat somehow 🤭
  14. Hi 87lc2, That is fantastic info, thank you very much. I will order up a set so it’s just one job future proofed.
  15. Looks like a shell to leave on for when I bring my clod buster over to drive over .... I mean race 😜
  16. Wow that site has loads of clod parts! I’m based in the uk , I don’t suppose there are any places over here that do those parts? would rather do without the whole shipping/customs faff!
  17. Ok do they just wear out or something? do you know a good place to get them from? Or which ones to buy? Thank you!
  18. 👍 I read about anti rotation brackets- and steel pinions. Are either of these needed or just as and when?
  19. Hi, thank you for that advice. That’s what I was hoping , I guess bearings are the only thing that need doing when you build it?
  20. Hi b.rad, your dads hornet lots fab! Great rite up, I can’t wait for a race ( probably pretty comical with my pumpkin bouncing about all over the place ) when we are allowed. I’m also looking forward to the finished painted shell!
