I made some mesh for the wild one from left over bits from the grill on my 1:1 kit. Not quite scale but I like how it looks.

Not technically today, but I built this for my daughter, she liked the custom stickers and the wheelies!

Finished my homage to a rally car that saw when I was somewhat younger than I am today! It’s not massively accurate given the size disparity but I think it’s goes well with the original TXT 1 colour theme too,

Today I have mostly been making home made masking for my txt 1 tribute to the cosworth pilot rally car. Hopefully get the yellow down this weekend! Do most people cut the body first or last? I usually cut first but have seen it the other way round on YouTube. I’ve had this spare shell for almost 20 years so about time I did something with it!

Found in my spares box, I was running the fronts on my GH2, these are ok condition, not cracked, one front a bit damaged on rear side. Tyres are ok. May be of use to someone? I’m thinking £30 posted or swap something? I throw in the front bushings for free! 😅

Yeah, I’ve ordered a new esc for my wild one, which has an unlimited turn esc in it. That only takes 2s so hopefully the faster motor will improve the truck. If not I could always put the manual speed control back!

Probably right, I did have it on 4s with dual silver cans for a bit which probably didn’t help!

Motor works again, esc not so much! New esc can’t take 3s, so back to slow truck for now..

Ok, ta. I think I’ve lunched the esc too…..expensive day!

Hi, as above really, swapped a 12t 90’s brushed motor into my txt1, hooked up to a Hobbywing 880 dual esc. Added lipo and it worked for 30 seconds before the motor seized. I’ve pulled the motor apart and the only thing wrong I can see is the grey substance on the side of the armature. It’s hard but should I scrape it off? Putting the armature back in it does turn, but that’s without everything else. Bearings are both good as are the brushes (pics below). cheers!

I still have my clear txt 1 shell and want to paint it up. I’m going to use rally stickers but need the front grill and headlights for an f150. does any one have any they could let go? thanks!

If you get no joy on the specific part, all 3 bits of the chassis are approx £15 posted from the likes of model sport etc.

I got round to carrying on with this. I think I started it about 10 years ago, about time I got round to finishing! the driver (Jochen Mass rather than Jacky Icxx in the box art) looked much better to the naked eye, just shows that age brings shakes hands and dodgy vision!

Mine was originally a Subaru too, worked well as a rally car.

No issues with TL01 parts I’ve found. I have I 6.5t brushless in mine and seem to replace bits every time I use/crash it!

Had a brief run around the garden and then this happened as it was turning! Found the bits and put it back together but seems a bit of a weak to me! having said that, I find this car flips a lot in corners so it’s probably my driving (again).

Just checking in with those of you that have a TXT1, are you fixing the axel link bars every time you run it too? they seem to un screw really easily and I’m loathe to use thread lock on the plastic eyes, does anyone do aluminum hop running stock except for an esc (hobbywing 880) and because of that I can use 4s. It was breaking before I used 4s just in case that’s adding to the ease it breaks! I fully realize after watching the below that I am an average driver at best!

Only running 2s so within voltage range. I’m going to agree on the cutoff being the issue, maybe just use an alarm?

Hello all! if an esc states it is not lipo compatible, does that mean it has no low voltage cut off/alarm function so you may ruin the battery, or does it mean the esc will be damaged if a lipo is used. asking as I’ve used a lipo with an incompatible esc and the world did not end! (Also did not use for long enough to drop below min batt voltage). thanks!

Got as far as I could with my DT03 Falcon tribute. Shame the colour was off on the majority of the eBay special stickers.
