  1. Oh thanks for the list. I need to add these as pins to my google maps. If I am in the area I may need to “drop by” for a browse. On the list, who has the best buggy selection and hop ups?
  2. @A2591 and @DaveBuildsRC are you guys located in the GTA area? It would be great to have a meet up once in a while for some RC action. I am more into buggies and M-Class cars
  3. I was born and raised in Toronto. Been living and working abroad for 20 years. Moving back this summer from Hong Kong. Just restarted into hobby since COVID. Will need help on good local Tamiya RC stores in GTA 🤗
  4. There are a few other shops selling die cast or static models. Some other smaller shops randomly around HK as well. I would say as RCMart online came around with wider selection and lower costs, the other store could not survive with operating costs (high rent). Sounds like every other local hobby around the world… 🤦‍♂️
  5. Hi, I am relocating to Toronto this summer. Looking to see if there are any other Tamiya RC fans around Easter Canada. Yee I know there is Facebook, but I am one of the few people who do not have a FB account. Frank
  6. Welcome to HK! I am currently based here and enjoy the shops. Prices are cheaper than what I have seen globally by 10 to 15% and no sales tax is the cherry on top. RC mart you went to is one of 3 locations but they focus mostly on mail orders as retail rent in HK rivals NYC 5th Avenue. If you are still in HK, there are 2 other small shops, Action Hobby and TQ Racing Model four blocks from The Tamiya store. I usually visit once every 2 weeks to “window” shop but end up picking up a few items. Currently relocating to Toronto and trying to purchase as much as possible for before I leave HK 😂. So far I have packed 4 boxes of RC (mix of built and NIB) and still a few more to pack.
  7. Where in Canada are you based out of?
  8. All look great and glad most are not stock. Ford GT looks like a hover craft with wheels off. I need to take an overall car garage photo of my collection
  9. What is your current collection of you don’t mind me asking
  10. Thanks @Re-Bugged So here is my plan… - I already purchased a rare new Bear Hawk body with decals. Intention is to place onto a new correct Falcon chassis (Blitzer Beetle) and kit tree includes the proper body mounts. Will need to pick up dampers and dye red. Factory dish wheels are too small and will need to get modern larger dish wheels and dye them light grey. - Reuse the Blitzer Beetle body on a street TA-02SW chassis - Reuse the Blitzer Beetle wheels and tires on a new DT-02 Nissan Titan truck build. Will need to dye the wheels black I love how many Tamiya parts are interchangeable 🤗
  11. This appears to work. Can anyone help reconfirm?
  12. Thanks all. Trying to do this on a budget (on top of all my other half completed projects). TA-02 new or used chassis Rear short wheelbase arms Metal motor mount Bearing body shell front 2 piece narrow wheels rear 2 piece wide wheels tires Sounds simple but parts and costs are starting to add up 🤦‍♂️
  13. Thanks. @Re-Bugged noted using x2 D Part Trees 10555091. Sounds simple to me. I will also use the wider rear 2 piece Tamiya mesh wheels as well. Cheers
  14. Thanks. I did the same on my Sponge Bob Sq Pants build late last year by removing the bumper and adding screw pins. Love the hack for the rear axel
  15. Cheers. Looks like all I need is 934 lower A arms
  16. Awesome! I am torn about doing it correctly or a simple decal job. Fear is if I put in too much labour I will be too afraid to drive and damage the body
  17. Looking good. Thanks for info. Is it just the rear arms? Looks like you ordered XV-02 rear universals as well. Do the stock dog bones work?
  18. 🤗 From the photos the color difference is negligible. Did you install the cone first or decals? I see the wipers are orange. Is it the same part tree as the nose cone?
  19. Fully agree. Looking for good quality and value bearings to save money for more cars 😂
  20. Thanks for sharing @Pizza Frog and @Twinfan. Do you both have photos you can share?
  21. What did you end up doing in the end? Trying to figure out if I want a regular long wheelbase or a short wheelbase for my beetle shell
  22. Hi @Re-Bugged I recall you built a Jäegermeister beetle. Can I ask what you used for a chassis? A traditional touring 258mm or a shorter wheelbase? Looking to build my own as wel
  23. Hi, Looking to pick up a Blitzer Beetle. How hard is it to install the decals? Also does the painted TS nose cone orange match the decal orange? Any tips would be great Thank you in advance
  24. Thanks all for info. Will look into these options
