  1. Nice collection. I am not familiar with the one in the very left (orange wheels)
  2. Thank you everyone for help on the acrylic / enamel paint problem. Will keep you posted.
  3. Yes. Good prices for RC cars here and prices are competitive. Picked up a Neo Scorcher for US$68 and a Porsche 911 RSR for US$100. Unfortunately my hobby is adding up $$$ and I am running out of space
  4. No worries. At work now and have not tried…. Need to find thinner… Glad to get advice as I am new at hand painting. The enamel hand paint worked well in the rest of the Monster Beetle hard body trim.
  5. How about Mr Color? I can find this easily in Hong Kong
  6. Thanks @OoALEJOoO and @Willy iine. I will try to water down the existing paint first. Small bottles are still full, so I won’t be getting a different brand for a while. Fingers crossed 🤞
  7. Thanks @Willy iine. See you on the other board
  8. Mirrors in. Made holes for rear spoiler. Painting light pods / buckets. Waiting for Shoe Goo to mount magnetic body posts. Mixed on the stock wheel color with the body… Went out today with my son and drove our cars. He has a TT-02B and I drove my basher DT-02 Nissan Titan. At night I tried to paint the Monster Beetle driver. Not doing so well with a brush. Don’t have an air brush and prob will not be investing in one. Any recommendations? I had primed the driver light grey.
  9. Nice. Send pics of the 959. Always wanted one as a kid. BTW MCI Racing is selling reproduction parts for the 959.
  10. @Rally! is that a Porsche 959 body I see?
  11. Your DT-03 looks great. Send more photos in action please
  12. Added window frame and misc decals. The red Honda on the nose makes the car look like Rudolph. Rear lights were a pain. Also the rear light bar is too fluorescent for my taste. need to add mirrors, wing and magnetic body posts. last 10% takes the longest time to complete 😅
  13. 😅 take a break and let rest of us get a chance to catch up
  14. Thanks @Willy iine. Will give the wet decal application a try.
  15. Follow up i picked up another metallic grey and layered it on. I picked up a spray can attachment grip and it helped me control the spray. Looks much better now and not transparent as yesterday with only 1 can. Took window making off and tinted windows. My first time. removed headlight masking and protective outside film. Looking sharp. painted wing, mirror and light pods black. decals and install next
  16. 👍 I prefer this to the box art. Send photos on the chassis
  17. Looks great! I like the Brat white wheels as they are not too large or overwhelming. As you are not using the damper tower holes for new dampers, can you custom make a new lower height front body post bracket?
  18. How do you find the technology for the new Avante? Was having a debate with a buddy where I like the 2001 Avante version for nostalgic reasons, but he noted the technology for the Super Avante is more advanced
  19. @Willy iine @Grotty Otty @Yoshimitsu thanks for the advise. I look at it again this morning in day light and it is not noticeable, but it would drive me crazy knowing there are splotches in the paint. Will get another can of metallic silver paint and will back it with black. I hear most racers keep it to 1 can so the body it lighter… good thing I am not a racer Yeah I painted the body in a fire stairs in the middle of winter. Not freezing here but still cold 🥶
  20. Finished masking. 2 colors, main dark metallic silver with black trim. paint looks good but upon closer inspection it is transparent when looking through the body. from the outside it is not too noticeable… need some advice: 1. Get another dark metallic paint can and add another coat? 2. Paint with black as the under coat? 3. Leave it as is? Overall prob not notable when on the car low to the ground I will need to make sure the light buckets are properly sealed. Also I do like the look of the yellow masking tape for the headlights… anyone know how I can apply transparent yellow polycarbonate paint or film on the cheap? I do not want to spend crazy money on a rattle can for just small headlights.
  21. 80% finished in masking the body. Black trim before dark silver as the main body color. Paint masking only covered the front windshield and part of the side glass had to make my own for the rear side windows and rear window Received a servo for my belated birthday too!
