  1. Tested it and it's quite fast now! It is a lot of fun! Little bit of difficulties running straight, but might be the servo or the remote. Not so sure ;D
  2. Still cleaning, but speed gear is now installed 29/64. Tomorrow I will see how it turned out
  3. @BuggyGuy @alvinlwh I odered the speed gear set including a 29 t piston as well as 64 spur gear. Let the journey beginn. @Original Jardasius : 28,4 km/h it says now. Speed gear and piston should be 52 km/h. 3s would be 79,6 km/h, don't know if the gear would be ok with that? BTW any tips on grub screw of the piston. It keeps getting loose, which annoys me pretty much.
  4. Thank you for the explanation! That sounds great! Definitely will watch it and will learn from it! Thanks!
  5. One question regarding KV. As far as I understood KV relates to the amount of revs at 1V, but how does it affect torque? Some manufacturers don't state the power oft the motor, hence I don't know how to calculate it then or is torque always enough for RC cars? Does torque drop at higher KV? Ah I see, right now I have open bearings. Do you use industrial ones? They are quite cheap as far as I know. Hardened steel pinion is no prob. Yet the speed gear is plastic, should that worry me? Why is there no metall option? Can someone please explain. I will try to calculate with the first one (looks easier :D). As far as I understood I only need to count the teeth of my pinion and gears? I ask, because I want to learn I just hope I don't annoy you with my thousand questions. Thank you all!
  6. Thank you very much for the insight and the explanation! 5,74:1 sounds much better than the 10,7:1.
  7. Thank you for oyur answers. I totally forgot to mention it. I have the bearing set with ball bearings. I see the high speed gear set sounds nice. Is 68 teeth the one I am looking for or something with even less teeth? Do I also have to change the pinion gear? Sorry for the nooby questions, I'm not sure how the gear reatio should be. It seems I could go up to 27 teeth for the pinion, but probably the motor won't like it? Probably 50km/h is very moderate from your stand point I guess, so do I need the motor mount then? Ah the aluminium shaft and the prop joints is something I saw in many builds. Looks really nice! Would the 3000KV motor with 3S be acceptable instead of 5000KV? I did want a second battery pack anyway ;D
  8. Hello all, I'm new to the hobby. Currently I just drive wild in the garden ;D Thank you for accepting me into the group! My first car is a TT02B with few modifications: Razer 1/10 brushless motor 3652 3000kV by Hobbywing Razer 1/10 brushless controller 50A by Hobbywing 2S Lipo 4000mAh 7,4V 45C Carson CS-3 Servo I bought it as a kit and would like to know, if it is possible to reach 50 km/h with the TT02B. Motor and controller can use 3S Lipos, but I was told the gear would be destroyed by just changing the Lipo. What would I need to change, if I would want to go for that speed. I saw there are many parts available for the TT02, but as a beginner it's too much for me to decide whats worth it and what is not. I don't have something to measure the speed of my RC right now. I think it could be around 25-30 km/h by looking at it. Thank you rfor your help! Cheers, Silenz
