The gearing you need depends on the exact motor you have. And more specifically what timing settings.

im going to assume you have a hobbywing Quicrun 3650 10.5T which has fixed timing and your not using any timing advance or boost in the esc.

if that is the case based on the hobbywing manual  you’ll want a ratio between 6.5 and 7.5/1 the stock 19t pinion is 9.58/1 you need to jump up to a 24-28t pinion to get the best from your combo.

if your not running that motor and or are using a lot of timing advance then these recommendations may not be right.

Yes that's the one! Thank you!

  2. Hi I'm kind of new to RC.

Ive recently bought a Tamiya Xv-02 kit. Very happy about that.

Now I have a hobby wing brushless combo with a 10.5t motor.

In the kit a 19t pinion i supplied. Is this a good place to start with my motor.

I want reliable fun driving/bashing car that doesn't overheat.

  3. Hi.

New to this hobby. I've just finished my dark impact. I'm using a Carson reflex start transmitter, Which has been used with no problem on a M06 alpine with tamiya ecu and a silver can with a savöx servo.

With my new buggy I have a Quicrun 10bl60 and a 10,5t Motor from hobbywing. I use the servo, receiver and nihm battery from the m06.

    Batteries fully loaded.

Here's the problem.  The car drives normsl and then suddenly the steering freezes with full lock and the car is dead. Fan on ecu spinning. But not possible to run motor. The led on the receiver is blinking. If I turn off the car and then on again. The servo centers and everything works great until the same thing happens again.

Really close distance. Maybe 5m from transmitter.

    Any suggestions?
