  1. She's a beauty. It's amazing how much better this body looks when you just paint the windows on the side. The green matches the yellow stickers real good. Even the wheels are looking good, even if the design is not my cup of tea. Well done .
  2. That's impressive soldering. It's allways nice to plow new ground. In my case this would not go that well.
  3. It's not that complicated. Just a name I use for it. El Gecko does it as well. Mine is basically a Grasshopper with Hornet rear suspension, GH2 front and CVA shocks all round. With Kyosho Scorpion rear tires and fishing line mod it works pretty well for what it is. Another thing: You should not happen to be the Frankster with the Lhasa Green Golf GTI W65 with 1,8t known from the german Golf1.info forum?
  4. Modern times has come to the Grasshornet. In the night I changed the radiogear to 2,4 GHz and a more appropriate Futaba S3003 servo. This means that I can now mount the vintage but working radiogear back in my Kyosho Burns again.
  5. Also here no more efficient driving. This week was rainy, so the gravel got too loose. Now today we got snow, so it looks like the coming rounds will be driven on tarmac with snow.
  6. I think you're beeing nice to yourself . Tamico has it aswell. They are real good regarding shipping to Norway.
  7. Great vid, as allways. The new design on the jumps looks more harmonic. Nice drifting from the WO. I remember a local toy shop had a Fox and it was so expensive that it stayed there and got sold first at the closedown of the shop in 1988 (when a lot went wrong financially here in Norway). My brother bought a Hornet at the closedown sale and actually got the rear wheels from the Fox kit, because they were missing in his kit.
  8. Had a go on my favorite location today and my both cars improved their personal best. The Grasshornet is easiest to drive consistent. Maybe I should turn the throtle EPA on the Tomahawk furher down, but it is so much fun how it is now. The kids had a go as well, so all in all we got through three packs.
  9. Yesterday I had had the first decent run with the Grasshornet since last WE. I was able to make the same lapcount as my yet personal best. I also made the first attempt with the Tomahawk with body. Not good. Made a new attempt today with full spikes rear and Cut Stagger Silver front and then things started to hampen. I made the same lapcount as with the Grasshornet on the first attempt. And that was not a clean run. Hope to get another attempt this WE on my favorite location and in the daylight.
  10. Finished the stickering on the Tomahawk -body. It is now ready for postal . Next up will be to paint the pillars, as I planned from the beginning. The stickers will do for now.
  11. First post here after lurking around for a year and a half. Finally managed to get a relatively clean pass today. The Scorpion Medium rear and Cut Stagger Silver front have really made a difference, so since last WE I've made a steady progress.
