    Ooh, that sounds bad.

You say the grinding is from the front end, but in the video it looks like the front wheels are turning and the rear wheels are not.  This might be the frame rate on the video - can you confirm?

The CC01 has a known issue with the rear axle.  The rear diff can move sideways and become disengaged from the pinion.  There are various guides online but you can see the issue (and the fix) in this video - using spare bronze bushings and some washers to reduce the play in the axle:

Thanks for the video, I'll open up the rear axle and see what can be done.

Ah, yeah so the front wheels are spinning whilst the back are not, I was going off the sound coming from more the front end. I can't be sure exactly, but it did sound like that. I did another test upside down, and the driveshaft itself wasn't spinning when it made the clicking noise.

  2. Hello,

I was looking for a little bit of help with my CC01

It seemed to be grinding from the front end whenever it's under load. If there's any obstacles or such that are preventing the wheels from spinning, it makes the grinding noise shown in this video

I've already tried fixing it by securing the gear covers. The screws were a little bit loose so I've drilled through and used hex hardware's with nuts to get as tight of a fit as possible. I've also replaced all of the plastic gears within the drivetrain. I'm at a bit of a loss what else to do at this point so any suggestions would be appreciated as it's quite frustrating.

    Thanks
