Hi All i have just got this R6GS, paired with a R7FG receiver, I have paired and installed(see photos), I have a solid green led and signal bard on the transmitter, but nothing on the car works, no steering servo or motor activation, I have tried 3 receivers and all do the same, can anyone help?

It’s an adventure to build, and the kit is super quality, glad I did it. Just finished a midnight pumpkin, and I can see where the extra cost goes, even without the iconic history…

I got a set from Tamico in Germany, along with the rubber boots for the rack and pinion steering -
Getting there, it’s been a good build, but I’m not sure why they bother with parts bags. I think they were all open by step 7…

i just got a bigwig vintage with a working technigold in it, I am tempted to put it in this, and save the Gt tuned

All finished, what a joy to build, have just put a silvercan in it as at this stage I’m planing to have it as a shelf queen, I’m pretty confident that’s going to change though, no point having them if you don’t drive them, and have a BZ 23t to go in it. Painted in SILVER METALLIC ANODIZED ALUMINUM – PS-48 and backed in black…

I masked off the bottom chassis before I put it together and painted around it so I have the carbon chassis visible through the bottom, I got the idea off tamiya legends, or the RC you tube guy from Australia can’t remember which one.

Why the distain for full vintage experience?
Tgrif replied to Saito2's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
Having recently got back into it, and after having a Bigwig, Supershot and Monster Beatle in the late 80's, the new range of electronics is a breeze, reliable and no need for the extra weight and expense of a second servo. If i am fortunate enough to get a NIB vintage and maybe its a shelf queen, then yeah id keep it original, but on the other hand if I own it I will more than likely run it, as thats why i do it, and the new gear is easy and reliable. -
I have a problem with my VQS, it makes a high pitch whine, the front wheels move but the rear do not, then it gets worse and wont run at all, I have rebuilt the rear gearbox twice now(using the existing parts) and have new gearbox parts on the way, I run a 23t BZ motor in it. i think the centre diff is the issue but not sure on how to fix it/if it will happen again, or if there is a hop up option to the gearboxs. any help would be appreciated
