  1. Dear all, Just finally bought a Metallic edition Midnight Pumpkin 1/12 and is on the way here. Bought a set of Yeah Racing ptfe ball bearings too. Have tried searching for advice here and elsewhere but as this is my 1st CW-01 (i do have a couple of tt02 and tt02b) i am quite overwhelmed by the amount of new information to digest. I have read that they are weak points in this chassis and certain upgrades or mods are used. Question: 1. What servo type should i be using? I have a currently 9kg servo but i did read somewhere that a strong servo can cause breakages. 2. Silver can or torque tuned motor since i have both? 3. ESC - quicrun 1060 or tble02 or tble04 or others? 4. What are the recommended upgrades or mods? I have no 3D printer so any diy options are highly preferable. 5. Shock advice? Clueless on this. Can the exisitng tt02 and tt02b oil shocks be used? Thamk you all in advance for your help!
  2. Makes much sense too since cooler motor runs more efficiently. But i differ from how much current a motor fan will draw... because there seems to have an impact in term of minutes, at least for my setup. But i do agree that small tradeoff to protect the motor or esc outweighs the small battery drain
  3. Hi all, Has anyone used such cooling fan with thermal sensor which works when it detects temperature above 38degree Celsius and shut down when its below - for purpose of saving battery power. Any feedbacks on it?
  4. I think i read somewhere that tt02 parts can be used but will need a longer screw to attached the bottom bumper plate to the chassis.
  5. Hi... been trying to find a solution to this too... so bump for us!
  6. Thank you very much. Been looking for these information for a couple of weeks!
  7. Is this the same as the one i owned?
  8. Another grease related question. As shown in the manual - does these parts needs to be greased again after each cleaning/maintenance or replacement? Can super lube multipurpose be used? Or others like tamiya cera-hd? I am asking this becuz i am planning to replace them with aluminium parts once they arrive and am worried about damage to parts if no grease or wrong grease are used.
  9. Is this the super lube that you use?
  10. Extremely detailed reply. Hang on... let me digest the information becuz as i said, i am so new to this hobby and any further uncertainty i will post here again! Thank you for such a detailed posting and advice!
  11. Ok. Because the super lube says its safe for plastics and metal. But wondering if i should get Moly for the dogbone area or areas where screw joints occurs. Accordingly to the manual during setup - there are pretty much places where they instructed to put grease. So am just very puzzled as i am so new.
  12. Super Lube® Multi-Purpose Synthetic Grease with Syncolon® (PTFE) Is this ok for metal to metal or metal to plastic or plastic to plastic?
  13. Hi all. I am very new to this hobby. I have a preloved TT02 handed to me by a friend just 2 weeks ago and am looking for suitable grease as Tamiya range of grease is out of stock in Singapore. I read that labelle is good but its impossible to find them in Singapore and it seems super lube can do the same as labelle. Is Super Lube® Multi-Purpose Synthetic Grease with Syncolon® (PTFE) safe and good for use on TT02 specifically on joints parts? and with regards to moly and cera grease - if i do manage to source any - do i need to buy both to use for different parts or just 1 type or just the super lube can do the job? can i please ask for advice from this knowledgeable group of hobbyist here? Edit : i am upgrading the TT02 with aluminium parts - do that mean different grease for different parts? 😣
