  1. Ok thanks...seems to have turned up now.
  2. I have just uploaded a new listing in my showroom but it seems only I can see it? When I log out of the main page it's gone...?
  3. How about an option to look to at our showrooms in list view instead of the current grid view?
  4. @netsmithUK Did you manage to get to the bottom of the PM issue?
  5. This guy?
  6. I agree with this. The very first thing I noticed when the site was being trialled was the absence of the enitre model list. I too have always enjoyed just meandering through the lists to see if something takes my interest. It really does need to come back if at all possible. However I do also like the newly added search facility as it works really well. The other things that are a big miss for me are the showroom comments showing at the side of the photos. I really don't like that they are underneath. I also miss being able to click on the image to blow it up in size on a new tab. Can we get those things back? I think I can get used to the new look, and it definitely looks a lot better when viewed on a phone than the old look did. But, for now at least, some of the community feel seems to have been lost to accomodate improved functionality.
  7. @netsmithUK Yeah, I received a message from member purplerob but the actual content wasn't there. I just got the email saying I had a message via TamiyaClub.com. It was basically a blank email. I know this because I had a conversation with purplerob through the comments section on his latest showroom listing and asked him if he had sent me a PM. He confirmed that he had.
  8. There seems to be a problem with members PM'ing each other via the main page. One of our members has sent me a message but all I got is an email saying "you have been sent the following message via Tamiyaclub.com" but there is no content at all and I don't see a way of viewing PM's on my main page?
  9. Not really surprising since their 10% discount gets you the kit for £385. Prices of this kit on ebay were heading towards the £600 mark before the news of this restock.
  10. I opened the box of mine again recently to check on the smell and, yeah, as Klausen says above, the smell does subside. The stench of them straight out of the factory must be something to behold though.
  11. Great video! The more I look at the Turbo, the more I think it really suits the modern 2.2 wheels. Still prefer the vintage originals though.
  12. Yeah I agree, the artwork definitely improved from after the Beetle. The Tomahawk is the best of them all though. It's a simply stunningly presented kit throughout, with wonderful use of colour. I don't really want to break into it, it's so nice.
  13. Red does look really nice. I wish that Kyosho had made those original 5 spoke wheels available as optional parts for this release too.
  14. My Turbo Scorpion is going to be a shelfer and, although I think the buggy does look quite good with the modern wheels & tyres fitted, I really want the vintage look. So for that reason some original wheels & tyres arrived in the post this week. My family of Kyosho re-releases is certainly growing. Hopefully the next photo will have the Javelin sitting at the bottom.
  15. Mine arrived from Stella today....my first buy from them for a little while, and I was happy to discover that their incredible packaging standards have not slipped. Packed in a bulletproof outer box, then triple bubblewrapped and cushioned in masses of polystyrene chips. They are still the best all-round seller out there IMO. My kit also came with the Kyosho catalogue, just like @lin6499's, however I got an additional surprise when I discovered that it also came with the official Kyosho poster for the kit. Has anyone else received this with their kit? A nice little bonus and possible future collectors item. All in all, this is yet another beautifully presented re-release from Kyosho. I'm looking forward to seeing the Javelin already.
  16. There are only two types of Hotshot R parts....the originals from the 58047 kits, and the later versions with the HP suspension protrusion, supplied in the Supershot kits. The re-release Hotshot & Super Hotshot has the exact same R parts as the original Supershot. There has been speculation that late, late 58047 Hotshots got fitted out with Supershot R parts but no kit here on TC has ever been seen with them. The two holes in the upper arms are seen in every variant. The ones in the photo above look like original 58047 items as I can't see the protrusion on the lower arms.
  17. Yep, your all good. No protrusion on the rear arms and I can just make out one of the supporting ribs on the front upright. The later uprights didn't have the ribs. Just make sure the opposite side of your buggy has the same parts.
  18. Your good with the front driveshafts. Rear ones look strangely bare, ie no engraved rings at all? Not seen that before, but it's probably just a blurry photo. Take another photo of the front uprights, focusing on the area where the ball connector sits in it's seat. Also need a photo of the underside of the lower rear arms. Only then will the Mk1 Gestapo allow you to pass.
  19. Without a doubt. This one runs a close second to that of the Tomahawk. I'm actually reluctant to break in to my Tomahawk kit as it is so nice. It's the equivalent of Tamiya's Avante with regards to presentation. I was already nailed on to be getting this Turbo Scorpion, but seeing the box art has just driven it firmly home.
  20. I know exactly what you mean. 2004, when I got back into it, is starting to feel like a long time ago. I feel nostalgic thinking about the heady days when absolutely every vintage kit & part was still widely available on ebay. And it's nearly 10 years since I started this thread... Pretty soon I will have the 50s to start being concerned about...
  21. Need more photos of the underside and, specifically, the driveshafts, front uprights and MSC resistors to confirm that it's 100% Mk1. The front arms are correct though, so your ok on that front. The lower rear arms should not have the protrusion for fitting the HP suspenison set. Front uprights should be of the M3 threaded variety with the narrow seats for locating the ball conectors. Drivehafts should have the single engraved ring at each end. Resistors should be of the floating variety. I'm fairly sure you will have the correct front gearbox housings & bumper stay, as if it has a Mk2 front gearbox the skidplate will have been butchered to make it fit. This is a useful reference page for comparing the differences.... https://tamiyabase.com/blog/technical/176-distinguishing-the-hotshot-supershot-and-hotshot-ii.html WIth regards to value, I can honestly say that used Mk1's don't really fetch much more than used Mk2's...if anything at all. All of the value in Mk1 Hotshots is in NIBs and new builts, simply becuse there are so few of them out there. Used Mk1's however, are still fairly common.
  22. I'd wager that 90% of the members who actually post in these forums are over the age of 35....the lurkers though? Who knows.
  23. You need to message them via their contact page and quote your TC username and membership number (the number in the top right hand corner, next to your username, when you are logged on within the TC main page). They will then send you a discount code to use for when you checkout.
  24. None of those would be "oddball" though. Now, The Striker? That WOULD be oddball.... And no, I definitely don't want to see it re-released.
  25. Yep. All Boomerang kits, including the 1986 original, came in a Hornet sized box.
