Tamiya M05 Brushless Full Guide video F540 4370kv
Xydte RC replied to Xydte RC 's topic in All things electric...
Here is the video i went to the track after the swap to play with the big boys. Finally i had decent speed but if i turn full throttle it understeers -
I was lucky because i had never before ordered or installed a brushless system. As i asked on the previous video i order a controller for my M01 and made my M05 a brushless motor using F540 motor 4370kv which i bought from Banggood. Enjoy the footage

What Brushless Motor On Tamiya M05 and What Esc On Tamiya M01
Xydte RC replied to Xydte RC 's topic in All things electric...
Opened my motor for the first time it had a 20t pinion on it, just putted the f540 4370kv brushless motor. The thing now rips. With slick tires is a beast but i need a better controller. I will put the link when i finish the video edit. -

Hello previous owner had a esc tamiya 02s on the box which i saw after a year hahaah . I don't want to change anything else just a little bit better motor on the M05. Not something extreme but to be a little bit faster. What would you suggest Question 2. The M01 i want to keep it as it is but to change esc receiver and controler. What people do on brushed motor?. I will keep the stock motor on this. I post a photo of my m01 on current setup.

I converted the M01 to get a 2s lipo battery. Because the cables were stretching the body i cut the battery on the right side , fill it with silicone to seal it and "vuala" it's ready

M01 Chassis converted to 2S Lipo. I had to cut the battery on the right side in order the cables to fit and don't strech the shell

i am replying here since the thread is open allready i am posting 3 photos. The radials i have them on my m01 the slicks on the m05 and i want an opinion if someone has tried the semi slicks tires i found, Also which part number is hard compound with small side wall? the m01 came with s grip on the back but they are too big and rubber on the monte carlo mini shell. To be honest i want tires to last longer (hard compound small tire walls) since i play on local street temperatures over 25 here in Rhodes Greece ,no racing just riding.
