  1. I guess Le Mans fits as a first run. I’ve not found a space yet that’s suitable but there’s got to be somewhere…
  2. Wow! That's a really impressive build!
  3. The postman hasn’t brought me anything! I’ve no idea what might have gone wrong here. It took PJ nearly two weeks to ship it in the first place. Effectively we’ve just sent some blue aluminium on a round the world flight.
  4. Go on… give in to temptation… you know you want to. One of us One of us One of us…
  5. So beautiful. I’d have ever thought gold on such a car could look so classy. Logic suggests it would be too much but it’s simply stunning.
  6. I can't think of anybody that couldn't use a Group C C11 re-release kit.
  7. Nobody here wants to buy something, it’s just the inescapable position we find ourselves in!
  8. Thanks! It’s a great kit, I’m seriously considering buying another one. I stole most of my ideas off of @TurnipJF His, along with @Pylon80 @Chris.B And @Ferruz build threads have been an absolutely invaluable resource through the build.
  9. The Conrad just stays still whilst the earth is spun beneath it!
  10. This was more of a marathon than the sprint I expected but the Mercedes C11 is finished! I love it, I love the size of it, the presence, everything. There’s more than a couple of mistakes on the body but I’m coming round to the idea that at this stage you’re too close to the car, both figuratively and literally, so you see what others will miss. It’ll look good at a driving distance. I really like how mean it looks from the back. So cool. Finally, after always dismissing tyre writing as being a bit “instagramy” I think I might be now sold on it. I’m going to look up a white paint pen! One final shot of Elsie meeting her newest rival for my affections. Even she might have her work cut out against this one. Now to patiently wait for the dry weather to come, probably around 2026.
  11. Guess who got so excited to see the finished paint job on the C11 he pulled the paint protector off before remembering he hadn’t smoked the windows? Bums! 😆
  12. So that's why I had to order TZs
  13. It works! Cheers for the update.
  14. This was mainly yesterday. I was hoping to get it finished this morning but it’s absolutely tipping it down. Maybe I’ll get lucky during the week and put the black on. I hadn’t bargained on how big this body is. This is an entire can of Ps-48, another of PS-12 and finally a couple of coats of white. It really felt like just one can of paint per colour isn’t quite enough. Edit: I’ve just noticed the window mask might be a bit high. Hopefully the stickers will save it.
  15. Wow! That’s really impressive!
  16. After reading all the great Group-C build threads (and feeling guilty that I never got round to doing my own) I finally went back to try and sort the catching servo saver on my C-11. After looking again and trying to see how I’d gone wrong I just thought “**** it” and shoved a couple of 0.2mm spacers under the servo mounts… which seems to work. So here she is! Once again I am eternally thankful to @TurnipJF for inspiring me to steal so many of his ideas. It went well, I’m a little worried about the geometry at the back because of my terrible drilling but the gap between gearbox and chassis is exactly 6mm all the way across so maybe my eyes are out. I was so worried I bought a couple of spares to have another go.
  17. That’s my second favourite Looney Tunes cartoon, after Duck Amuck of course.
  18. Yeah when you see some of the stuff that gets reproduced and you look at the tools they have to use it’s a little mind boggling. I still haven’t gotten round to playing GT7 yet, or the latest Forza. I think I’ve fallen a little out of love with gaming in general lately.
  19. I’ve always thought reusing parts and swapping them between cars is a fun way to spend an afternoon tinkering. I remember back in the old days I used to swap bearings between cars, as well as radio gear and electronics, because I could only afford one set.
  20. This afternoon I attacked the decals on the M08 Europa, all looked over by chief designer Elsie This is her street guise And this is how it’ll look on the track, at least at first! Not a great sticker job but I’m happy with how the paint looks. It’s a shame the red doesn’t come out in the photos as brightly. I still need to rebuild the shocks to help with the ride height. On the race wheels the chassis is barely 3mm off the ground. They were built as per the instructions with a o-ring spacer which it could really do without.
  21. That looks gorgeous! It really takes me back, I loved mine so much. I’ve seen the body and parts available on Tamico and it is calling to me. The closest I’ve got so far is designing a paint job in Forza.
  22. The m-08 was almost finished today. I need to install the ESC, adjust the shocks (it might be a little low) and change the hexs (8mm is too wide). I also mounted the shell quickly. I only had time to put on a couple of the pin stripe stickers but I think it’ll look good when finished, at least until it hits the track.
  23. I started the M-08 build this afternoon. It’s going together well so far. Should have it finished tomorrow.
