@Pylon80Dude you have no idea how much I miss the desert. I needed to see that. Thanks for posting that pic, looks like fun.

I completed my TT02R rebuild today. The only thing I have left is to tidy up the servo/speedo wires but I need to get a crimper first. I ended up stealing the 1060 out of my GF01 because it was black and just looks better. To that end, I cut off the power switch and soldered the leads together so that the car tuns on when plugged in. I also soldered the motor directly to the speed control because why not. Lastly, @Pylon80 pointed out the stock 27t pinion was a bit tall for stock motors so I ordered a 21, 22, and 23. I installed the 22 for testing. Smoke from the flux is filling his lungs, he's earning minimum wage

If by bin it you mean pack it up and send it to Rinskie then by all means, get rid of that thing.

Personally, I'd start with scotch. I'd drink it and stare at the body until it's not a problem anymore.

The FF's. I missed the boat on all the FF's.

Reel Big Fish version is fantastic if you want to complicate your brain storage issues.

I've participated in a couple death match races and they were the most fun you could have racing. The whole thing is not to be taken seriously so when you get hacked or piped, as long as it wasn't intentional then it's easy to laugh off. Heck, everyone else is laughing so you might as well join in. I think the idea kinda promotes a lack of seriousness and pomp. The cosmetic mods sounds cool also. You could do weird stuff like fuzzy puppy dog ears or flashing cops lights or both if you feel up to it. Man I would be all over that if I was all over there.

Yea, the commute kinda puts me out too.

I guess I got lucky for once in my life

And if what @Quailane said is not enough, it's a fun process. It slowed down the build to a nice methodical pace. I'm a convert! I put a little dab of grease the tap for each hole.

Today was a good day. I made a little more progress on my TT02R chassis swap by installing a new Hitec D625. The original iteration of the car had a Protek 140 pulled out of my M08. The 140 bugged me as it wouldn't always center and the splines on the output shaft were off a little so the only way of centering the servo was through the transmitter trim. Also the servo was twitchy and notchy. Turn in was erratic. I wonder if this is why I hated my M08??? Anyway the Hitec servo is butter smooth and seems fast enough for this old man's eyes. The control arm was easily set to 90 degrees without any trim. I also picked up a set of 26mm wheels and tires which is a first. Up till now I've just been using the 24mm the kit came with. The wheels were for the '97 Subaru and I feel I was lucky to find them. The only thing left to do now is decide if I want to put the Torque Tunnel and 1060 in or pick up something like the Juststock 17.5 while they are on sale. Not sure about any gearing adjustments I'd need to make if I went with the brushless though. I love this car.

Yea I guess I am just now realizing that. I don't know all that much about the platform apart from it looks cool and is probably worth the $150.
-
Yea I am tempted myself. I keep reminding myself that this is the shorter wheel base model and there aren't a lot of bodies for it.
-
I 2nd this. Crimpers have been on my short list for a while now. Maybe I need to shorten it even further.

They gonna give you stents or just the angio? Either way, no big deal and nothing to worry about. I have 5 stents from two heart attacks with 3 separate trips to the cath lab. I'm working my way through rewards points at the hospital. Wishing you a speedy recovery man.
