  1. Congrats! I can't wait to see all the boxes together
  2. Who asked for this?!? My guess is $699 Ha, no need to guess - it's only $380! Edit to add: I'm gonna file this next to the Losi sprint car pre-order, in "Things I know I don't have a proper place to run" category, but give the nod to this 6X6 if I had to pick one and bang for the buck.
  3. Leave it as you've sanded it and just clear over it - like a hotrod with patina. Next time you beat it up, just sand and more clear. Repeat until there's nothing left LOL
  4. I had some 54737 Matte Plated Silver Dish Wheels handy to test. They passed with just the tiniest hint of rubbing, so the thinnest wheel shim should be perfect. Then I tried a set of BBX wheels/tires. Turns out, there's a difference in ~1/16" offset, so they were rubbing (you can see where in the pic): So I added 1/16" in wheel shims with a serrated nut and boom: Please note: I had to open the front wheel holes a tiny amount - like just a few spins of my reamer on each side.
  5. Good news for those that want an adult driver figure! The kid kinda irks me, and I already tried swapping heads but it looked dumb. So today it dawned on me - what about the WR-02 Comical torso figure? A bit of trimming along the arm sides and around the back lets it drop down where it needs to sit. I also trimmed the WR-02 steering wheel until it sat down nice. And so here it is:
  6. Adding my Fighter Bear Hawk tribute to my list and thread:
  7. This wraps up the Fighter Bear Hawk for now, until someone comes out with some red hubs:
  8. I painted up and stickered my Fighter Bear Hawk. I'll put more pics in the appropriate DT-04 threads:
  9. And it looks so much better! I found the force needed to pinch them together was much more than the spring tension, so meh. I'm not racing these things. Edit to add: And like I mentioned before, one could throw on a turnbuckle in no time, if the need arose.
  10. It depends on the kits and their availability, but generally when the mood strikes - but i still look to use coupon codes and credits - I'm not an animal
  11. The front white piece needs to be installed, but all else and the cage can be left off. I did as much of both as possible so that I can run in two different modes, relatively quickly.
  12. Wrapped up the Super Manta Ray tribute: * Manta Ray kit re-release * MCI Decals (awful, do not recommend for this particular model) * Black front uprights * CVAs dyed blue * Wheels painted white More pics in my Showroom if interested
  13. See? I'm not the only one trying to tack on another grand or so to his budget spending
  14. A collection to be very proud of! Will you build and display them all?
