  1. I tried to make a Ferrari body out of a bittydesign body with a tamiya Ferrari F60 decal set. (The front and rear wing wil be replaced before i wil drive it).
  2. The biggest letdown for me was the TT01 and later the TT02. I have had a manta ray, TA02, FF01, FF02, TA03 before 1 bought my first TT01. As others have mentioned, it is al plastic in plastic. I was so disapointed that after the build i put it up for sale . Fortunaly i didn't sell it and started racing is at my local track. and after the TT01 i switched to the TT02. And i am stil racing it. I actualy love the chassis now. Although i wish that a future TT03 would be more like a TA03. A little bit more metal en decent C-hubs.
  3. did you build both diffs already? if not, then the 2 gb2 gears can be in the unused diff house GB1.
  4. make a photo of all the gears you have on your desk.
  5. GB2 come loose in the gear bag. G2 gears come from the spreu in that bag. I don't think you have used them in the diff. It won't close because it is thicker. Did you build both diffs al ready? If not, then the two GB2 gears should be somewhere on your desk.
  6. That is indeed the wrong gear. This is G2 from the diff
  7. can you make a photo off the other side of that bevel gear? I still think that that is G2 from step 6 in the manual
  8. It's a bit hard to see on that photo, but i think you have switched the bevel gear with the bevel gear which should go in te diff.
  9. it's beautiful
  10. This arrived today for my winter rally project. i found that the 26 mm tamiya radial tyres are great for controlled drifting around the corners at my track. But they wearr very fast.
  11. Took my TT02 Lancia delta to my local track. now it looks like a real rallye car.
  12. Finally finished my Lancia delta body. Maybe it needs an interior.......
  13. the outdoor season at my local race club has ended. And the Mini-z is about to start. But i don't like mini-z. So with a few other drivers i will contineu to ride outside. My TT02 will be rebuild as rallye car. So no matter what weather, we will ride .
  14. I race my TT02 at the local track. And after a complete rebuild i went back to the track to test the car. It drove terrible. So, back to the pits. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with the car. Suspension was ok, everything moved smooth. So i just sat there looking at the car, when i turned the rear wheel. D*mn, both wheels turn. I put the spool in the rear and the gear diff in the front. .... After fixing that (and in the process dropping a screw on the floor, which never was found again.) went back to the track. put the car down. And it drove...... backwards...... AArgh, both diffs were put in the wrong way . ....fixed that to and then went for a nice cup of tea.
  15. The last 15 years i have been racing in 13,5 stock class, Formula 1 and lately the fwd class. All with high end chassis. And also high end costs. But the fun is missing for some time now. The people racing in those classes are extreme fanatic. Only the latest batterys, motors, bodys are good enough. I recently pickup racing my TT02 again. With a simpel carson cupmachine brushed motor and real car bodys. And i am having great fun again. Yes it is slow en yes the car isn't the best chassis on the market. But i really enjoy riding again.
  16. A teamC nissan primera calsonic body and a Tamiya opel calibra cliff body
  17. i Found a team C nissan primera calsonic body. I just had to buy it. Since i don't have a tamiya FF chassis it will probably end up on my TT02. Which i drive very often lately. I used to race in different high end classes. (touring car stock 13,5 (xray T4), Formula 1 (xray x1 2021) , fronti (mugen mtc2 fwd)), but i think that modern touringcar classes are over the top these days. ( or i am getting to old for this haha)
  18. and for the servo, you could cut a little piece out the bottom of the servo case. And pull the wire a little backwards. Then slide the servo mount from the top down over the servo. (i hope this is clear, my english is not my own language)
  19. i think both sides should have a 6 mm spacer. not just the left side.
  20. i wish tamiya would come with a not overengineerd FF chassis. i like simpel chassis . and offcourse the older sedan bodys.
  21. i would love to , but i already have to much cars. And these days i concentrate on just one chassis, the mugen. if i drive more than 1 chassis at the same time it gets out of hand haha. But i love to make body's for the fwd.
  22. Thank you for this beautifull thread. I love reading it. I started with on road cars with the tamiya TA03F opel calibra. Drove it at parkinglots. Then i got married to my wife in 1999 and at our wedding day we drove a Volkswagen New Beetle. a few months later i found a tamiya FF01 new beetle at a local hobby store and just had to buy it. At first it was just a shelf queen. But then i joined a race club and started racing. First with the TA03 but then i took the FF01 to the track. And i fell in love with it. Not wanting the new beetle body damaged, i bought a honda accord PIAA body. And drove it as much as i could. Later many other cars followed. But the FF was the car i enjoyed the most. I was very happy when te current FWD class began. It still is not a FF01 but today i drive a mugen MTC2 fwd. Also a lot of fun. This topic brings back a lot of memorys and makes me wish i would have kept the FF01. But i drove it until it couldn't be repaired. thank you WTCC5
