  1. Today i connected this up for a test, and it seems working very well! 2 piece of 1A diodes in series to drop the voltage, and both my receiver, and servos seems very happy running at that voltage, like 7V or so. As soon you use the fully charged 7.2V NiMh battery with some load, it seems to drop to like 7.9 V. edit: I have measured wrong, i did the measure without any electrical load after the 2 diodes! Now with the load of the receiver and 2 servos, the diodes drops like 1.4V off the battery , so now i think i'm all safe So, 7.9 - 1.4 gives me 6.5 V to my radio and servos, confirmed with my multimeter.
  2. Thnk you both, seems i'm ok with this servo then!
  3. I made my own post's out of a bit of plastic in the end. And it worked out quite well! The servo sits firm as h*ll, and the cost was zero.
  4. I love vinyl, i think the music sounds more natural on that media! Some of my fav LP's :
  5. No, the servo is not continous, it moves left and right and stops proportional to the steering wheel on my transmitter. But the servo has no mechanical stops, i can turn it by hand all way round in 360. Therefor i thought it was a 360 servo? But maybe it isnt after all?
  6. I think i got a 360 servo instead of a 180... Is there any big drawbacks in that, or will it works ok still as a steering servo?
  7. Today i'm very sad...I have lost the original Steering servo Rod of my Datsun! Anyone know the dimensions, lengths and angles of the rod? So i can make me a rod, i guess it's very hard to find a new original one?
  8. Thank you all! Now i'm aware of the risk with cutting these sheets. And thanks for the info on 2mm, i think i go with 2mm fiberglass then, i assume this sheet will do? : Modonghua Fiberglass Sheet, Fiberglass Board, FR4 Fiberglass Sheet, Home Epoxy Fiberglass Fiberglass Material Craft Supplies 1.0mm, 2mm, 3mm, 4mm : Amazon.se: Tools & Home Improvement
  9. Hmm, best to stay with fiberglass then, it's not dangerous to your lungs, or?
  10. But such a little piece of sheet to cut, is it that dangerous you mean?
  11. If i use carbon fibre, shall i use the same thickness as my old fiberglass chassi? I think it is like 2mm, the same as my Tamiya Datsun 280ZX chassi...
  12. Hi! I'm thinking on build me a new chassi to my old Saab 1/12 pan car. What type of fiberglass and thickness is common to use for this?
  13. Is that the same rod ends as in the Wild Willy 2 kit? I can mail you one, there where more rod ends in the kit than needed. edit: ****, it seems the Wild Willy 2 ones are 5mm, and you need 6mm...
  14. Aha! So i have the Tamiya Special Rod Ends in my old Datsun 280ZX then?
  15. IsnĀ“t this a problem with the endpoints on the transmitter/ESC? The Tamiya ESC at least guide you through to set the endpoints with some presses on the set button on the ESC. To have 100% forward and 50% reverse.
  16. I found some mounting post dirt cheap from a dealer here in Sweden! Some generic ones, but i think it will be fine for my needs.
  17. That ones look likes the plastic ones i'm looking for! tnks.
  18. No one? I'd really want some pieces of these to my servos in my old Datsun... Maybe you can make up some diy ones? But how?
  19. thnks, but i got curious as the box says 4 step speed controller. low/mid/full is 3 steps as the old tamiya ones? Or maybe my german isnt good enough
  20. Wow! Sorry, i have no info for you on this car, but i just wonder how that 4-speed mechanical speed controller works?
  21. If the brushed motor have some form of advance timing, i think you should pay attention to this, and let the motor run in the direction of the arrow on the motor.
  22. Here is my bike that i use to and back from my work:
