Not sure if this was already mentioned but it appears based on user manuals from Tamiyas website that the BLACK edition Monster beetle universal shaft setup is identical to the Blackfoot. The Monster Beetle regular edition still has the older setup. interesting.

Any thoughts on building/running an XV01 bone stock? I am looking to pick one up over the newer XV02. XV01 much better bang for $ it appears. Not really interested in spending $ on hop up options.

While the Black Clod is a fantastic version, it seems a bit lazy from Tamiya. If Tamiya insists on making no changes to the Clod than at least introduce a new colour that has not been done before. I would have been impressed if the re re Black Clod had some new materials ex: carbon fibre, aluminum etc.

Hi everyone. I have searched the forum and have yet to find clarification on the controller to be used with the Tamiya Hi lift kits. I understand it calls for a 4 channel stick remote however if I do not plan to run the MFC-02 light standard unit is this really required?. The controller I am hoping to use is a 4 channel Futaba 4PLS. I plan on locking out the rear steering as well. Will this controller allow me to switch between the 3 speed gears? I much prefer pistol style controller. Any thoughts or input would be much appreciated.
