  1. Thank you I will save that as I am expecting to go through a few parts as I'm running it brushless. It's fantastic
  2. That looks brilliant, I could probably get the mount made up if you are struggling out of aluminium my friend made me the motor mounts easy.
  3. These look brilliant I'll have to find someone on to make them for me. I have seen some front mounts on thingiverse. If I can get the drawings for them I could probably get them made from thin aluminium like the motor mounts. Tempted to fit the shocks to the rear. Is there a specific mount/shocks people use?
  4. Ok thank you for the input. The car was my dad's I used it with him as a child but he's no longer here to ask questions about it and growing up I never compared it to another I just thought it had a cage as standard until recently when it was pointed out to me. On reading this site I have found I should use a 15t-19t pinion 0.8 tamiya or 32dp traxxas as it is stronger. I will do some research regarding spur gear etc as don't want to damage them
  5. When upgrading my holiday buggy to a 540 mount, what is the correct pinion gear I should be using? This may sound stupid but can you get metal gears or anything regarding the gear box? Lastly my holiday buggy has always had a rollcage/light protector/tire rack. Does anyone know if it was an option as all the photos I see now while researching I have not come across one. It is all one piece with the windscreen surround and uses the original locations so I presumed it's how they all were before I looked into it.
  6. This is very clever, I'm currently rebuilding my dads old holiday buggy and need to make something for the shock towers as one is snapped and the other has a hairline crack I was thinking of a way off adding longer shocks but I'm unsure what shocks are slim enough to clear the arms, currently leaning towards like a strut brace across both, once I've designed something I may be able to get it made up
