  1. I’m now minded not to meddle with it and keep it original apart from a new colour scheme with new decals. I fear that if I start playing around with it, I’ll just ruin what is a perfect example of a mantra ray. Having said I may do the steel pinion as that seems common sense. I’ve ordered some Tamiya damper oil and bearings so will carry out routine maintenance. Not that I’d ever sell it but how much does a mint manga ray sell for?
  2. So I’m a complete novice when it comes to all of this, and it’s a bit of a mine field in terms of getting the right parts and part numbers!
  3. Yeah I’m caught between wanting to keep it as original as possible, but also making it faster and more robust
  4. So my Manta Ray from the early to mid 90s has been in a box for the last 30 years, with little to no usage. Its in mint condition, with original manual and transmitter, and still works beautifully. I would like to upgrade it but not sure where to start. I've already purchased and fitted brand new Tamiya tyres to it, and have bought a new shell and wing as I aim to paint it gun metal grey. I've also bought new decals to match the original. Not too concerned about cost though don't want to go overboard. Any tips on what I should upgrade in terms of motor, ESC etc?
