Hi guys Gee....Last 3 auctions I've been involved in, I've been sniped with 4 seconds to go by someone who has not declared their interest earlier. It is really ****ing me off. I know pretty much anything goes on ebay, but really... am I the only one who thinks that is a really **** thing to do? I can't believe people sit there in front of their computers with the stopwatch out waiting with 4 secs to go. Really becoming a bit dis-illusioned with the bay after this. Sorry to rant, but thats my 2 cents. Cheers, Drew.

Hi all, Does anyone know of a NIB Frog body for sale. The alternative is that someone could point me in the direction of a repro one. Cheers, Drew.

Drewboyaus replied to rroodd's topic in Re-Release Discussions
How annoying, I just saw this thread after paying quite a reasonable sum for a set of front and rear wheels and tyres for my Frog project (Faaaaaq!). Good news about the re-release though. Cheers, drew. -
Oh no....I did it again. Just picked up a Fox runner from ebay. I'm yet to charge it up but looks like it should work. Appears to have an old Technigold motor in it, should go pretty quick. I'm looking forward to testing it before I strip it down for a clean up and resto. Anything happening this coming weekend guys? Got the missus' b/day on Sunday but will try to come out and play for a little while time permitting. Cheers, Drew.

Both ideas sound fine to me. Need to know what time and day so I can organize a leave pass from "The Boss!!" Cheers, Drew.

Hi guys my name is Andrew (Drew), So how many are in...Room for 1 more? I've got a young family and I also play cricket most weekends so time is difficult to find, but I'm quite interested in dropping by for a little while if only to meet you guys. Have you settled on a time and venue yet? Cheers all, Drew

Hi all, Please help me. I was saving my pennys for a NIB Taisan GT2 I saw on ebay. It was for sale with one of the Japanese shops and when I went back to click the buy it now button, I realized the Auction had finished not 15 minutes before. I am now a shattered man!!! If anyone can help me with this and can bear to part with such a nice car, I would really appreciate it. I have plenty of the folding stuff ready.... Thanks, Drew

Hi All, I don't know if it has been addressed before (I did try a search of the forums), but has anyone got any tips for painting recessed areas such as door jambs or headlight recesses on lexan bodies to give the impression of shadow? Cheers, Drew

Ha, I'll reply to my own post (is this a sign of madness?), had a look at other postings on this topic and decided neither brake fluid nor caustic was going to get a run in my garage. So I tried someone elses advice and chose to use ELO (not the really crappy 70's band)but Easy Lift Off. This stuff is excellent. Painted a goodly portion on the affected area, waited a couple of hours and wiped off carefully the area I needed to. The windscreen came up perfectly clear. Don't know how it would go on entire bodies, but my results were very incouraging. Cheers, Drew.

G'Day all, What about removing paint from the clear windscreeen parts of lexan bodies? I have used the smoke paint on what was going to be a shelf queen '99 WRX and I have a dirty great paint run in the middle of the screen.... I have read many of the posts on this topic and most seem to relate to removing all the paint from entire bodies. The front screen is the only bit that's rooted, so I really only need to remove the paint from a small area, not the whole shell. Any ideas anyone? This is the second shell that has been stuffed up, the first is a looong story and I'm starting to go a little bit crazy... and broke!! Cheers, Drew.

Looks like the list is getting longer every day....

Hard to find parts for Hotshot / Hotshot 2
Drewboyaus replied to Drewboyaus's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
Many thanks to everyone for their help, but I have oganized with Steve to do a swap for some Supershot parts. I think though, I might make a couple of spares because this Hotshot II will be a runner!!! Next on the list is a Wild One if anybody has one they wish to part with. BTW I'm in Melbourne. Cheers, Drew. -
Help needed for Hotshot / Hotshot 2 parts.
Drewboyaus replied to Drewboyaus's topic in Trade Archive
Thanks Guys, I have a hotshot II and would you beleive it, there is no picture in the manual!! But, the fantastic resources at Tamiyaclub have enabled me to print out the correct page from the Hotshot 1 manual. So I'll at least give it a try. If you do know of someone who has a couple for sale, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks again, Drew. -
Hard to find parts for Hotshot / Hotshot 2

Many thanks guys, I think I'll have to make my own, but I can't find the originals. Any ideas? Cheers, Drew. -
Hi all, I'm pretty new to this, but I am trying to track down a pair of front stabilizer stays for a Hotshot / Hotshot 2 that I'm restoring. I cannot find them anywhere. Would anyone here have a couple they would be willing to part with. The other alternative is, if anyone could prvide me with a life size tracing / drawing of these parts, I'll fashion them out of steel or something myself. Any assistance greatly appreciated. Thanks, Drew. P.S. This post has been duplicated in the items wanted / for sale forum.
