  1. The M series seems to be a one-way street (only forward to the next model, no re-re action), at least this far. And starting up production of essential parts (M-03 chassis, anyone?) would likely eat into the newly introduced MB-01 sales.
  2. No, it only has the original manual (in nice condition) - it was already built when I bought it. I never asked if the box was still there, which of course I should have done, in hindsight ...
  3. I guess I saw this on your six-sheeler - the rollbar it was, yes. How odd memory works (or not) sometimes.
  4. If the body posts get cut too short, I think @Mad Ax did some sort of extension with styrene tubing, if I remember correctly (may be totally off there, not sure)?
  5. Perhaps the Tamiya 50855 could be an option too for some cars too (TL-01/FF-01 body posts)?
  8. Only one left to buy, and it's all topped up again?
  9. @Wheel_Nut - any updates on this build? I re-read the whole thread again - a lot of good stuff in there.
  10. Yep, I like the duo dutch drivers better - they're a bit more safety-minded, helms and all.
  11. Made my day brighter.
  12. I had to do the search thing - never heard of that (BFG yes, but that was ... Quake, in another plane of existence entirely). Thanks for the tip.
  13. I know he had his DM option on here turned off, so maybe he is following the same setup on Insta, no idea. To me, he was friendly and supportive (which goes for a whole bunch of people still on here - hats off to you!).
  14. @Re-Bugged I just have to write it too - just love your photo (as a b/w photography nerd - although analogue, but anyways)! And of course, I find the Fat Fox really cool.
  15. From my own limited experience: changing position from sitting to standing is good, so a desk where you can change the height sounds like a start. Perhaps using extra stands on top of the working surface too, when you need to get closer. I am partly struggling with the eyesight, often using reading glasses and lupes, but I have been thinking about buying one of those lupe-with-light things to ease things a bit. The quality (and quantity) of light makes a difference for ease of seeing, too.
  16. It's probably Radio Shack/Tandy then - it's a Tronico (Wild Eagle) shell that I found. I have nothing underneath this far, was thinking either WR-02 or MF-01x. It's too short for an 210mm M-chassis anyways.
  17. @MJJ1543 The Carson tires, well - on one hand ours haven't worn out, but they don't grip like the Tamiya ones (but those go bald in a short while). Is it the Carson ones on the black rims? I like the look of it, sort of Mad Max vibe. The red and white Michelin one also looks nice - like a Formula 1 racer.
  18. It sure looks like a happy little puppy, @Rinskie!
  19. I did the dishes as usual, and dried it off ... (toy body (Nikko?) for a project, needed to get rid of the decals)
  20. Well, I have to let this one go for various reasons (time, money, space). It is as the title says an M-03, with the Mini Cooper Racing body. Have a look at the photos. I have run it a few times and everything works as it should - it is mechanically complete. I took out the old electronics (6 channel esc and some other space faring equipment of unknown origin) and put a somewhat younger Tamiya TEU-104BK in there. Obviously, there is a servo in there too (Futaba). The motor (silver can) is brand new, I replaced it. Tyres are well, slightly tired but they work for a sunday drive around the parking lot, should you wish to. I have not pulled the whole car apart, so I can't say if there are any monsters lurking in there somewhere. The bad: it has cracks up front by the dampers (see photos, the last two of'em). Someone in the past put a GoPro sticker on the roof. Go figure. The DJI sticker on the rear is somewhat less offensive. I have not attempted to take them off. The good: this one has not been run much, the chassis is overall clean. The body has no cracks and the decals aren't top, but they aren't obviously flapping around in the wind either. It makes a nice impression outside, but also on the shelf. As a small bonus, I am putting in an old-school LRP GT-1 motor with the correct spur in the box too. I have no idea what a decent price is, but let's say 130 euros, shipping included in the EU. Elsewhere at cost. I am interested in trades for a (preferably NIB, but may change my mind on that) Lunch Box, Midnight Pumpkin, Wild Willy 2 ... something Tamiya fun, that is. Paypal (f+f) preferred. Questions? Pop me a message.
  21. I can hear the Tamiya factory revving up the production already ...
  22. Sorry to bungle in on your splendid build ... but the (paper) motor plate ... there is a possible, additional hop-up, the aluminium Tamiya 84293 motor plate. Metal on metal, as dear old Kraftwerk would have it.
  23. I am just waiting for the MB-01 six-wheeler Tyrrell P34 version ... you tinkering lot!
  24. " ... the focus is on fun." Sounds like Tamiya to me! I would have loved to go (especially with the kid) but I think we'll have to pass on it this time. I am entertaining the hope that something similar to this might show up closer to home (like Frankfurt am Main area) some day. (Still trying to find my way around, trying to find real people running Tamiya cars.)
