Hi can someone tell me what kind of pens are suitable to paint a tamiya cockpit? Maybe something from AliExpress? I already bought fineliners but they dont work on the plastic. I would much rather use pens with fine tips insteas of brushes. Should be easier.

i love seeing cats in rc pics as much as others do a butt in front of a lamborghini

Masking the Unimog. It just took me 2 hours until i was satisfied 😅

Not really true as lots of competitive racers use drag brake for different kind of rc cars. Drag brake or brake by release of throttle does not mean 100% brake force but 20% for example. It's really useful.

Replaced oem xv01 pulley with delrins. Lets see if those are more robust. I will also run it without the belt cover as it always traps little stones and cause the belt to jam

can you name a few japanese youtubers? would love to check them out.

the JST ZH connector only comes in 1.5 and is the only one that looks like mine. PH looks different.

Sorry you are wrong again (just like me: 2 times 😂) But now i've found out that its the JST ZH (1.5) ...if anyone ever searches for it like i did
-
Thanks but I don't think you are right as JST SH looks like this

Can anybody tell me what the exact name of this plug is? It seems that this plug is used on most esc's with a fan. I already ordered two different types of jst plugs but both were slightly different

I just love how the old Skyline GTR looks. Had to have it and will never run it. First Kyosho i ever had. The Unimog is just to cute! My mother said the Unimogs were my favorite vehicles when i was tiny. Wonder how she will react when show her the built Unimog 😁

TT-02 conundrum - R vs Type S and what hop ups?
Murmel replied to Losi XXT-CR's topic in General discussions
i would skip the alu propshaft and joints. no need for those, stock parts can handle a lot of power. I also just installed the high speed gearset and would not recommend. Its a little wobbly, the stock spur is much more firm in its place. I would rather get a adjustable alu motor mount and then use a bigger spur. the type s alu steering kit 54965 is really nice however. much better than all the other alu steering kits. -

thanks guys! <3 had no idea about those Hop-Up Options! very nice, now I can look up compatibilty before buying just got my first package from plaza japan. before hop ups were always too expensive for my taste so never really bought any. -
thanks! now how to attach this display case to the wall!?

I wanted to fit a one way 53671 and a ball diff 53663 to my type s. But the cups on both diffs are too large for the type s drive shaft. And it seems i cannot fit larger cups to the type s wheels. So what can i do now? Are there driveshafts with different size ends? A insert for the large cups to make em smaller? Or am i screwed? 💩

Do you have a link?

Upon building my new type s i found the slop to be too much especially at the arms/hinge pin. The hinge pins have play at the attachment points in the chassis as well as the arms have play on the hinge pins. To eliminate the play i took some copper tube with od 4mm id 3mm and pressed those into the arms Also on the end of the pins i put some shrinktube Combined this with the usual assortment of shims wherever possible and the slop at the arms/wheels is almost completely gone.

Hi, I have a Tamiya Levant thats missing the body. Now I'm looking for a body that will fit it. I've seen that the Sandshaker body fits but its discontinued. Are there any bodys which are NOT discontinued that will fit the Levant? Would prefer Tamiya but would also consider other brands.

Hi, i dont know if you found a solution since your last post but i might have found one: Yesterday i drove of the car for the first time, it is totally stock. A little on asphalt and fine gravel. Brushed 17t motor. After 2 minutes the belt popped off. The belt tensioner was in the highest position. Then i put the belt back on and moved the tensioner to middle position. Popped off again. Now I put some larger dia shims on the ends of the tensioner to act as a barrier/guide to hold the belt in place. It worked! Emptied the whole 7000mah lipo. Still I noticed that when driven on the fine gravel that stones got onto the belt and caused some short term blockage. I need to think of something to better seal the belt, especially on the front where it is fully exposed. Other than that i love how the stock xv01 handles and drives. Such an amazing car!
