So, people started to recieve the Mazda as of Friday. Finally I was able to pick one up on Yahoo auction, came in today. Some picks for you see below. Obviously no green parts, all black, body is quite small in the box as expected compared to C11 or 956. The decals are great from what i see also help you with the silver on the roof. This is the one for the standard setup. Using the F104 parts you need FO104TS. However I don’t think it’s available in the Uk. Need to look here in Japan.

This is correct. Please see here: Exact the same F104 parts in blue but with the asymmetric T Bar. You would need that one to make it fit.

I hope so for you guys in Europe. But if you are disappointed that it might be a Japan only version, well… I live her in Japan and I was prepared to order the 787b as it went on sale suddenly on Wednesday/Thursday but this thing sold out so fast, unbelievable. Within hours all the normal RC car stores have been sold out. Freaking quick and meanwhile all preorders are closed. The Porsche 956 you could get for a couple of days and even on AZN. But not that one. Somehow I got luck and made it in on a waiting list, also closed now. Hope my slot is good enough, don’t know. I will keep you posted. Also I learned that in Europe the Porsche 956 is quite easy to get, not here. Only now on auctions for a decent price up. Tamiya played that well with the 956, stiring interest and people here discovered C cars again. As of now 956, C11 all sold out. Parts for chassis likewise. Parts situation is much better in Europa, e.g. Tamico where I ordered a spare body as there is no one - maybe yet - over here. So I hope they release the 787b in Europe and the the Jaguar, Lancia, Nissan u know… would be great.

Yes. Always have been a fan of the 959 and argued to buy a used one but.... to many obstacles, price etc. So I picked up the XM-01 back in July at the Tamiya Store in Tokio. Then scanned the forum for advise and ideas. At the end I went with the following: XM-01, Tamiya ESC and Brushless Motor, Hops Ups, Body is from Canada (Bluegroove), Decals+Wheels+Bodykit (MCI) as well, Cockpit from US (Radical Retro RC) As this is a shelf queen, I added lighting, printed roof rear light myself for function and also added a magnetic connector between Body and Chassis for the lighting and easy connection. For painting I strictly followed @Truck Norris just such an awesome Job... and succeeded somehow but learned a bunch of ideas, tricks and advise. I recommend to read first before painting. With the XM-01 I got back into the RC cars. I was building trucks since 2020 but with the Tamiya Store Visit I am now more into cars. So for my fist approach after a long time I wanted to make some extra effort. And I am to 95% satisfied. Issues were: Cutting the body (a little bit tooo much), Painting is a challenge, but fun, see above. Chassis is straight forward. Decals I could have also done better. But now I also have my 959 and happy about. Hope that helps and I recommend to do a special project once in a while. It is just so much fun.

Unfortunatley YES, very dangerous

I am building Tamiya trucks for some years now but recently got strong interest into RC cars as well. So what would be better to start with the recently (today) released Avante 2011 rerun. As I currently live in Japan, the price is decent and today is release day. Hope everyone who ordered also one gets his one also soon.
