  1. Added the MCI graphics that arrived today to my Porsche 956!
  2. Thanks for the sharp eye! Fixed it and added one more driver-lol
  3. Yes, Stefan Johannson drove for Ferrari F1 at one point during the 1980’s.
  4. You are using F104 alum motor mounts-you need a conversion t-bar to do that I think.
  5. I agree about Bob Wollek-always fast! I’m lucky enough to have a few of his cars in 1/43 scale. I disagree about the factory 6 spoke magnesium wheels though-I love the way they look. I think privateers ended up going with BBS wheels instead of the factory rims to save a bit of $$$-they did the same with the 935s.
  6. Here’s an easy solution to a rear BBS whee. I printed the wheel picture (edited in photoshop) on a sticker sheet and taped onto a round lexan piece painted white as the sticker came out semi-transparent. Kind of a pita actually.. Also added the drivers (done in photoshop) as the MCI sheet does not appear to come with them.
  7. More work to be done, such as the side exhaust detail that came with the detail kit from NABS and painting the mirrors.
  8. The lack of availability for upgrade parts for the Group C chassis is definitely an issue right now. That’s why I ordered a set for my 956, because it also includes a great solution for side dampening-something missing from the original Group C chassis. I ordered some 4x30 and 4x35 (guesstimating?) screws for the front end.
  9. It was not Johnny Herbert but his teammate Volker Wiedler that indeed suffered permanent hearing loss after doing a driving stint without his earplugs. It actually ended his driving career.
  10. Almost finished the 1983 Marlboro Joest Racing Porsche 956 #8. Waiting on some gold paint for the rear wheels and the graphics from MCI. Still working on a set of 956 wheels from Rob at NABS-waiting on some gunmetal and white paint for them.
  11. Painted my 956 body, waiting on graphics from MCI Racing.
  12. Body is almost done: added the Promarkt graphics and the detail kit from Needabiggershed except for the exhaust outlets and front turn signals for the light buckets. Chassis is still a roller. I’ll take some proper photos when the weather clears up here.
  13. What a shame that Tamiya decided to exclude the rest of the world from enjoying this very welcome re-release. :/
