  1. Thanks everyone, good to understand the "why" As mentioned, not really a scale body and by the time I've finished with it it will be even less so
  2. Today I started prepping the R32 shell and noticed these two lines which run accross the roof and bonnet. They are in the moulding, not the protective layer. I don't recall them being on the my 1:1 (which was a GTS-t not GTR!) Are they something to help with the manufacturing process, design flaw or mistake?
  3. Well, you just need to know how fast right? Especially when it hits your foot
  4. I think this format is great - living in Sunny Wales, there are no RC groups anywhere, and seeing this thread is what prompted me to join the forum and purchase a Tamiya kit so I could try some racing. I did try carpet racing many years ago but everyone was so much better and very competitive! Just need to finish the car now so I can have a go!
  5. Thanks for the advice everyone, I'll try out on some scrap to see how it goes.
  6. I'm about to start the body on my R32 which has white plastic spoiler and mirrors. Having never done this before, I have a few questions: Will the spray body paint take on the plastic parts (it's Tamiya gunmetal)? Will it match the body or be matt? Or do I need to get something else?
  7. Thank you - I wasn't sure and the more I looked, the more I wasn't sure
  8. Thank you, I was looking for something on the page
  9. I don't see that option. No problem though, not much to see in the photo's
  10. So after a few days away, I got the chassis to a rolling state (and it works!) Electrics are to be tidied a bit and then onto the body - which is nicely aligned with the posts. I have a few questions which I will ask elsewhere...
