  1. After a very long time away from driving, I managed a couple of runs on a dry day a few days ago. It transpires that my back is not quite as much improved as I thought It was sunny but cold and there were some damp patches, but really quite good for racing. Unfortunately my TT-02 R32 was not suited to such tight turns - I had been playing with settings over Christmas so that my grandson could drive it very slowly indoors and I didn't really get it back to where it should be. I also found out that it turns much tighter to the right than left I need to take the time to have a proper look, but my back is still complaining It was really nice to get out in the fresh air and drive the car though, waiting for more clement weather though!
  2. I was in the same position a couple of months ago and after asking on here settled on the TC-01. Lovely kit with plenty of opportunities to hop-up if you wish. Unfortunately, it's taking longer to build than I would like due to my recent back poroblems, but it goes together very well!
  3. Fortunately, I won't be fitting competition electronics
  4. Finally making progress - just a bit! Assembling the steering linkage: A bit fiddly, and I managed to get some of the threadlock on one of the washers which made things a bit sticky, so had to clean and re-do Works fine now Hop-up steering posts And fitted to the chassis: Planning to do more this week - Diffs next. I hope they're not too complex/fiddly!
  5. And these people get to vote
  6. I must be getting nesh in my "old age"; -6 is a bit of a non-starter for me these days!
  7. I do like pretty much anything on wheels. I used to own a Nissan R32 GTS which I loved and miss dearly. I broke it at a time when I was unable to afford two cars and sold it to a guy who used it for drifting. My TT-02d is based on this car As age has crept up and hills got steeper, me and the wife bought a Bambuk Tandem e-Trike. Fantastic fun enabling us to ride again without balance/mounting/dismounting issues.
  8. Slow But I do enjoy the build process, will shortly be back on the TC-01 now the festivities and family stuff is done
  9. A bit late I know but Happy New Year!
  10. After a weekend doing Christmas with visiting family, I caught up on lots of posts on here!
