Just seen this. Last night I looked at what was available/necessary and placed an order with TTP. Spent the £20 note which was in my birthday card if anyone asks

That's fabulous! I wonder if there's a set of rims like that somewhere?
-
Thanks both, best get started!

I'm going to re-build the dampers on my TT-02, and have bought some Core-RC 350 cSt (silicone) oil for the job. My question is regarding the Tamiya damper oil that came with the kit - is it silicone? I don't intend to mix the oils anyway, but how best to remove ALL the oil in there currently?

Super job! -
Bought these because the plastic flowerpots kept blowing away or falling over when I (often) hit them!

Postman didn't deliver - I collected from Wheelspin Models while visiting family in the Midlands I'm going to look through the instructions to see where I might hop it up It isn't going to look like the box-art with that metallic purple paint!

I'm still thinking about it. I keep hearing that it's a great chasis as-is, but a bit more bling is tempting. I can't believe how quickly I've given into temptation I'd be interested in people's thoughts on upgrades though.

Thanks @Andreas W looks like a really challenging circuit Unfortunately I can't race for a week

Having set a benchmark, I put some softer springs on the TT-02 and there was a marked improvement in handling. I tried a few more laps and improved by 5. My driving is also improving slowly. Then I fitted the slick tyres recommended by @TurnipJF and went for a quick spin. There was a lot of sliding (the tarmac is dry but quite dusty) - am I right in thinking that they need to warm up and get a bit of wear before they grip more?

Did a few more laps of the RBP course after fitting softer springs to the TT-02 Skyline - noticably improved performance from the car (and me!) Fitted the slicks to my TT-02 and gave it a quick spin (literally), it seems they need wearing in a bit!

Some hop ups for the TC-01, courtesy of @toyolien Thank you

Having read thorugh a few of the build threads, I realise how much I enjoy them and how much there is to be gained for the builder and the reader, so I will be endeavouring to produce one. Won't be for a few weeks though.

That is a superb piece of kit, and their web page is awesome! I would so like one of these, but I'll do the TC-01 first and improve my building/driving skills while looking for somewhere to race indoors

Interesting build and that body is great. Loved the old BTCC cars!
-
Did just that today and there was a noticeable improvement (even for me!) thank you Just need to rebuild the dampers and fit the springs

Springs and lights for the TT-02 and Titanium screws for the yet-to-arrive TC-01

Congratulations @Andreas W that's a lot of racing! And thanks to @TurnipJF for organising. I really pleased that I had a go and put down a benchmark - just need to improve my driving! Inconsistent lines make such a huge difference, so slower is quicker I noticed that I have a broken wheel, which I will replace, but wondered what tyres are good for dry racing on smooth(ish) tarmac? I'm currently using semi slicks. Do foam insertsmake a big difference?

TC-01 with the CLK body LRP V10 Spec6 - 17 x 2 Hobbywing Quicrun 1060 Brushed SBEC Waterproof 60A ESC I know there will be no programmable braking - I'll just have to learn to drive better! Not sure I could do the model justice with a build thread - there's already one on the forum anyway
