  1. I am almost always in the non-boxart group. I want my cars to stand out with loud colors / custom designs. Most box art schemes are just to mundane for my taste. The only chance that I'd want boxart is if its replicating a real car, like the TA-02 IMSA 300zx (personal grail)
  2. Alright, I got sidetracked on a losi jrx-pro se and my 1:1 project car but I'm back. I won't be using the 6 gear like I initially planned on. Buuuuuut, I will be using an stealth from a goldpan rc10. I have everything ready to do the swap minus new dogbones and maybe some screws, but this should be pretty cool.
  3. Darn! Don't remind me how much I want an avante again! Reres are for running in my book.
  4. Absolutely! Wing and undertray to match
  5. Painted the TBG body for the Astute today. All spray cans except for the hex patterning. Tamiya PS colors and Spaz Stix backers. The Tamiya cans spray great but not very good out of the airbrush. I much prefer Spaz paints for airbrushing.
  6. the bbx gearbox has me intrigued. That uses the gears from the bbx and the diff from the trf? Could you use that gearbox with the ball diff from the bbx?
  7. I sure as heck do! The spirit of hotrodding!
  8. Most likely yes. Yall were right. The avante diff has worked for me before in a king cab. Not sure why this one is so much more fragile.
  9. I mean, it almost fits... just need some fiberglass sheet to make a mounting plate
  10. More carnage. One jump and it was over again. but, i wonder...
  11. You're 100% correct. I might do the tires. Probably not the hubs just yet. It'll be fine for some lite running on the wacky hubs
  12. Guess who's back... back again. The budget Astute is back! I grabbed a TBG body and undertray for it a few months back and finally got it cut out today. I might paint it sometime in the next 3 months...
  13. I think we lose character and charm as we chase perfection. Part of why I love my rc10 is because there's always something to tinker on. And the end result is a better looking, better running buggy that actually speaks of the driver's personal taste.
