    Hi John,

I have one, yet to run though, $80 seems pretty good for a built one that doesn't look to have been run. I think I paid about $140 for a kit a couple of years ago, but a quick google sees some of the kits for about $230 now

so we should plan a run soon

@Retro rules! and @Max Power. and you keen?

Great! Do you think I can get compatible hardware to complete it from OZRC Geebung?

  2. Yeah, Metro Arts is in West End, Brisbane

Regarding the 3D scanning. Was still waiting on Brad in Perth with the purple GC.

He said 'mid-April'. He wants to scan the 'C' pillar trims for himself. I think he's involved with the drag races there so was busy with that.

Meanwhile I heard back from a 3D scanning place in Hobart. Nearly a month after I emailed them.

$750 to get the scanning done there. Also, Peter from the scanning place said, 'I know of a couple [GC vehicles] that are local to me too, let me know how you get on and I can contact them if you need'.

    So that sounds exciting.

I guess he knows alot of car people in Tas.

  3. The young guy in Melbourne, Alan I think is busy doing 18 year old things.

People mustn't want free money? I get it people are busy and want to protect their vehicles.

If I had a true size 50 year old classic vehicle I'd want one or several scale versions I could trick out in all matter of ways!

I have a few other vehicles I am pursuing Johann.

I was thinking maybe Thorneside as it's been a few years.

I don't have much to run on tarmac - only the FAV as it has the kit tyres and an old drift car which is in pieces and has no electrics.

Happy to probs sit this one out if you guys want to do an on-road meetup though.

Hello. Just saw this. Keep me updated about the next possible meet up. 🐱🐉

  5. Wow @yogi-bear!!!

I've pored over this thread since I fount it recently.
Your struggles and triumps with vacuforming seem to mirror mine with silicon mold making and resin casting.
My experience (since 2011) has been with Zbrush + commissioning 3d prints (Shapeways etc.) + mold making + resin casting + painting.
My current ambition is to get a 3d scan done of a Galant (my first car) and make an RC drift version of it 1/10th scale.
I'm also in Brisbane. I was wondering if I can buy you lunch or something sometime and we can discuss vacuforming?
