HEY HEY HEY GUYS-
I'm shiny brand new here. Hellooo!
I haven't had or built a Tamiya RC car since the mid 80's. A Hornet specifically. Man those were the best of times... building, tuning, driving, fixing, rebuilding.
Well.... I'm 51 years old now, and I. am. BACK.
I don't have even remotely the amount of spare time I used to have back then, but I do have a whole garage, and a ton more spare cash.
Really, who's in a rush anyway?
I recently did a frame-off restomod build of 1975 Honda Z50 Mini Trail minibike. STREET LEGAL. If interested at all, you can read "Fletcher's Z50 chronicles here if you're interested at all: https://www.planetminis.com/threads/fletchers-z50-chronicles.255461/
Likewise, my first foray back into RC... an HPI Baja 5B... and chronicled that here: https://www.largescaleforums.com/threads/fletchers-baja-5b-sbk-chronicles.29222/
Both were a ton of fun. Both took me FOR-EVER.
Well... Tamiya was magical back then, and I'm 99.9999% sure it still is.
I picked a Hotshot II Blockhead Motors as my first go.
Let's. do. this.
