I'm very new to RC cars in general (own one Banggood cheapy RTR) and totally new to Tamiya having always wanted once since the early 90s but never took the plunge.
I'm now looking for a first kit to buy and had picked the Mad Bull only to discover it was discontinued about a year ago and there's no stock left.
As I understand it, many Tamiya kits are the same chassis shared across several different cars with simple body swaps and maybe a minor tweak or two, so I started looking at other DT-01 kits I could put some Mad Bull wheels on.
I've found a Fighter Buggy RX Memorial for sale, so would this be a good donor to convert to a Mad Bull? If so, is it just a set of wheels and a Bull shell that's needed? Finally are there any other DT-01 kits that might be cheaper to start with?
