If you want something more specific I'll put my money on 125677 for the month of July.

Tamiya kits are great but those spring holders masquarading as shock absorbers just have to go. Some people think bearings or an ESC are a first step upgrade but I think shocks are. It doesn't matter how fast you can make your car if it won't handle or even go in a straight line. []

Could someone tell me what aftermarket (oil filled) shocks are available for this kit. Thanks in advance for your assistance. []

Thanks WillyChang. I've added them to my order. Let's see how it turns out as I plan to ballrace it, give it a good ESC and an Epic Stock Pro motor. Should fly along and actually handle as well. []

That was a giant killer considering its main opposition was the turbo-charged Ford Sierra Cosworth (there's an idea Tamiya) and the VK, VL V8 Holden Commodores. Hi Willy, I think you helped me clear something up. I was looking at a picture of the old M01/M02 which looked like it had a monoshock at the front and twin shocks at the rear. However, it is the M-04M I am planning to buy off Tower Hobbies so I guess that means it has four shocks and the standard Tamiya CVA's should fit. However, which is the one that it suitable for the M-4M. 1) - Tamiya CVA Mini Shock Unit 84 2) - Tamiya CVA Short Shock Unit Set II

Hello All, Another newbie joining the flock. I've been involved in RC since 1995 when I started off with the now famous Fox. It was one heck of a car and I quite literally (pardon the cliche) drove the wheels of it I went on to own a Juggernaut II (with quite a few mods thanks to ESP) a Traxxas E-Maxx and a little Tamiya Mini (powered by a Trinity P2K2 []). Sadly I was broken into in 2001 and my entire collection was stolen. It was a great loss and one that makes me hope everyone here in insured as I was not. Now that the time and funds are available I am going to try to build a new collection. One of the cars I am interested in as a fun car is the Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA (painted red naturally). The question I have is what aftermarket shocks should I buy to replace the spring holders that Tamiya supplies with the kit? Tamiya suggests their standard CVA shocks but they come as a set of 4 whilst the Alfa requires only 3. Any advise would be appreciated.
